Having spent ENDLESS hours researching strollers, posting here, accosting other twin moms in Target, weighing the cost vs. weight vs. lifespan of strollers, we finally sucked it up and bought the baby jogger city series. (the trick was getting DH into bbb so he could see how it moved!)

And - i'm LOVING it. It came yesterday (after a nightmare story where we had one IN OUR HANDS in NY, but didn't buy it because i had found it for significantly less online, only when i got back home to dc and called the woman they were back=ordered for three weeks.....i spent hours calling every store w/in a hundred miles, adn after i sent DH a desperate message (this was also on a no-nap day!), he called the manufacturer and they gave him the name of their biggest buyer.....anyway , it's fabulous.

Heavy as all get out (the one downside - well, one of two, the other is that now that they face the world i can't look at their beautiful smiling little faces anymore :-(

but - what a dream, esp. compaared to pushing the snap-n-go over the broken pavement!

One warning, however: there is a new version called the 2007 1/2 - basically it has a THREE panel sunshade instead of a two panel one; so many parents complained that they made a new design. If you see one advertised online, make sure it is three panel - i spoke to the manager of the BBB in NY who told me taht he had gotten an aftermarket panel for about fifty bucks because it made such a difference.

we had two long walks today - AND the weather broke finally so it felt like autumn, instead of the depths of summer, so my little bunnies were in their fleece outersuits w/hats on - so adorable! now, if only i could figure out how to post pics...

:a_smil09: Cool! Glad you're having fun. You can upload a pic to Snapfish or Photobucket etc and then just post the http: link. Can't wait to see it!

Another lover of the Baby Jogger City Series Double!!!!

It ppushes like a breezeand turns effortlessly on a dime. I love sipnning the twins around and standin there and wastching them as they goe around.

I just got the skip hop duo double diaper bag and loaded it up with what used to be in 2 bags and it stays so nicely on the BJCSD.

The company said they parent tray that they have for a single jogger is in research for the double.

Does anyone have the pump or umbrella?

Has anyone had a flat tire that needed to be filled. WE ahve our stroller since May and have not had a problem but I wonder if I should get the pump.

Is there a bug net that fits the BJCD?

Sorry if I hogged the thread........Love the stroller, too. We have the arctic blue.

What colors do you all have?

I have the artic blue too. When I was picking a color, you would have thought it was a life or death situation. I could not decide. I am happy with it! I have not gotten a flat and have been using it since about Feb. I have filled the tires though at the gas station when they have gotten a little low.

    Here are two pictures

Yay! I just ordered one from just multiples, but it's not here yet. I'm so happy to hear even more stories of how great it is. As for the color, I did all the research on the stroller and decided this was the one for us and then to make dh feel like he had a say, I let him choose the color...he chose black. I cannot wait until we get it...so much so that I won't even use the duoglider in the meantime. They have to go in the cheapo little individual umbrella strollers or nothing at this point, because I can't stand that thing anymore, especially knowing something better is coming.

Speaking of the duoglider...with the bjcs on the way, can anyone think of a reason to keep the duoglider at all, or should I just sell it right away? As much as I hate it, I wonder if there may be a time when I need something narrower and I'll miss having it as an option. What do you all think?

I would keep it. SOmetimes I wish I had a tandem (that is what it is called right?). The sbs is hard to shop with so if you ever needed to do serious shopping with the babies, that may be the best to take.
