At what age did they start with the finger foods? What was their first finger food? Did they have teeth?

Whats the deal with Gerber Puffs? What age did you start with those? Is there any nutritional value to them?

And I know I asked about the mesh feeders the other day, but did you use those first or skip right over them?

I just started yogurt this morning and my girls loved it. Sofie does awesome with the sippy cup and will hold her own bottle but Maia has no interest in doing either. My girls have no teeth (actually thats a lie Sofie has one coming in now! YAY!! And poor Maia was born teething but no teeth yet.)
And I have checked out wholesomebabyfood.com but I wanted to hear your experiences.

    Hey Cohlee!

-Katie has had the biter biscuits and has no teeth... she loves them.

Whats the deal with Gerber Puffs? What age did you start with those? Is there any nutritional value to them?
-Katie LOVES them. I started with them a couple weeks ago. Not sure about the nutritional value, but she Loves them... cheddar and corn flavor are her fave.

And I know I asked about the mesh feeders the other day, but did you use those first or skip right over them?
-I used a spoon right away.

    1. We started finger foods around 7 months, and started with biter biscuts/wagon wheels, and mine did not have any teeth

    2. we did puffs around 7 months also, pretty much went right into EVERYTHING just cut small and soft, by 9 months they were eating all kinds of finger foods (deli meat, chedder cheese, avocado, cheerios, pear, grapes-peeled and quartered, grilled cheese, ,etc) and still no teeth....they don't need them as their gums are strong and you give small peices that are soft.

    3. I never used mesh feeders

Puffs are awesome.. I started using them as finger foods. at 6 months. I broke them up and mashed them so they would get used to dry food and then started giving them bigger and bigger pieces.
My babies still have no teeth.
Now they are 9 months old and eat just about everything! :)

I have started them on biter biscuits. They love them but they get very dirty while eating them. DD has 2 teeth. DS no teeth.

Whats the deal with Gerber Puffs? What age did you start with those? Is there any nutritional value to them?
Just started the puffs. DS loves them. I think they are mainly for practice.
And I know I asked about the mesh feeders the other day, but did you use those first or skip right over them?
I use the mesh feeders a lot. DD has reflux problems so it is easier for her to eat with one.

We started with Puffs at 6 mos. They did not have teeth at the time.

Puffs really have no nutritional value. We use them more for practice & to keep them busy without chunking them up on snack foods :)!

My boys are about 10 1/2 mos & we still use mesh feeders. They love them & always have. They make me less nervous about choking & they can get more experience with different foods easily.

Conner now has 4 teeth (2 top, 2 bottom) & Aiden has his bottom 2 with 2 of his top barely through (and his other 2 almost through). Conner will 'chew' with his teeth, but Aiden doesn't. They eat most anything now...they actually HATE baby food with spoons now!!!

As for sippies, even now, Conner would rather I held it for him. He REFUSES to hold his bottle (that child will cry for a good 15 mins instead of just grabbing it himself, but when it's empty & laying on the floor, he'll pick it up & put the nipple in his mouth...STINKER). I've given up but won't hold his sippy for him. I will help him tip it up, but that's it.

Good luck...finger foods are so much fun & SO messy :)!
