Ok..so the babies are almost here and I need to know what you ladies recommend as far as lotions, baby shampoo, "butt paste" etc...so much out there and can't seem to decide.

It's a personal choice but I like store brand baby wash, store brand lavender lotion and Beaudreax's Butt Paste. We go through so much lotion and baby wash here it doesn't make sense to use a name brand when the store brand works and smells just as good.

I use Johnson's Head to Toe baby wash. Love the smell of Baby Magic baby lotion. And agree that Boudreaux's is great for baby butts! Good luck with the birth!

We have excema, or whoever you spell it, so use Eucerin lotion, J&J head to toe baby wash, and Balmex since I can't find Butt paste in town.

I love the Baby Magic all over wash but I believe I am going to stop washing their hair with it because they've been getting cradle cap. I've had to wash their hair with Head and Shoulders. We haven't had actual diaper rash yet, but Boudreaux Butt Paste worked wonders for my pregnancy rash :p . I also use Cetaphil moisturizer for their face because they have sensitive skin. I use the soap as well and it smells really clean.

I use aveeno products. They have a lavendar scented lotion. I was using that, but it seems as thought the babies have sensitive skin. So we've been sticking to to fragrance free products. I would use Johnson's lavendar wash, if they didn't have sensitive skin. I think the creamy aveeno wash is better than the regular. Hope that helps.

My 7 yr old still uses the Aveeno baby wash! He has bad ezema and can't use the adult aveeno. He also uses the baby lotion still, when he doesn't need his prescription lotion.

When they were very little we used Cetaphil lotion and cleanser because they are hypoallergenic. We still use Cetaphil lotion because we can buy it at Costco and it's a lot cheaper that way. I am sensitive to smells and can't stand scented lotion, and we use a ton of lotion (and used even more in the first 3 months!) because you have to wash your hands so often.

However, we switched to store-brand baby wash (which we use as shampoo and body wash) around 8 weeks when we decided they didn't have sensitive skin. It has a nice mild smell. I don't like the lotions & washes that smell like baby powder.

We had so many different kinds given to us at our baby shower, it was nice to be able to sample the different ones & find our favorites. As it turned out, both my babies had sensitive skin so several of them had to be thrown out. Playtex was the worst. :(

For the bath, I loved the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo Bar that someone gave us! It was wonderfully mild & gentle with a sweet smell.

For diaper creme, I also like the Burt's Bees. This stuff works awesome.

However, I didn't like their baby powder....to me, it felt rough. I get the Johnson & Johnson's kind, 100% cornstarch (better for babies' lungs).

For lotion, I use the Alba very emollient lotion . Again, they have sensitive skin so I have to be careful about what I use & this is very nice. I've also tried the Aveeno baby lotion, but I like the Alba better.
