I have had a fairly great appetite throughout my pregnancy (though gaining weight at first was hard) but starting this week I don't want to eat much of anything, the thought of food makes me quesy, and I have been getting nauseous often. Anyone else experience this and have any advice, words of support?? Thanks

I have experienced a bit of this, mainly from babies deciding that meal time is play time, and making me feel a seasick sort of queasiness. I lost some weight, but thankfully gained it back.

Probably the best advice I could give is to eat a number of smaller meals. And to eat nutritionally/calorie dense food when possible, so you don't have to eat as much.

    Hang in there!!

all I can say is that I can relate!! its really hard to find foods that even sound appetizing. I force it though!!
It comes and goes though- so I try and force myself when its gone (haha more often than not).
At least you are not alone!!!

I am so glad you posted this because I have been feeling the same way for maybe the last two weeks. I am nauseous at various points throughout the day....and I really have to force myself to eat somedays because I am not hungry at all. Other days I will feel perfectly fine. My cousin had twins and she actually started throwing up during her last trimester because her body just ran out of room and the food wouldn't stay down when the babies would move alot.

I'm hoping were not the only ones experiencing this!

do ya'll think it is because the babies and your stomach are competing for space, nerves about the upcoming birth, stress, all of the above??

Congrats, haha. I hope mine comes back soon. I am thinking bedrest might have something to do with it. Eating in bed or layin on the couch has always seemed kinda gross and messy to me.

I have no idea what it is!! I think a lot could be due to stress and nerves, definately. In the beginning of the pregnancy I could anything and everything. Now, its ridiculous! I find a food I can get down easily one day and the next it makes me sick to even think about eating that!
It is what it is though. I think we'll be okay :)

that could be it. i cant eat and lay down either i have to be up doing something looks likle u and i are opposites because i cant get any sleep becaus eim eating so much and u cant eat because u r gettin rest!! there has got to be a median somewhere. if u can try getting up and doin a little walking with someone with you of course but only as long as u feel up to it as soon as u start having pains make sure u sit! but exercise always makes me hungry so i have been on my feet these past couple weeks but before that i was so worried about preterm labor that i didnt do anything i didnt go anywhere all i did was stay in the house!

but yeah i ramble sorry...just try some light exercise such as walking and try to stay relaxed. dont think about food. just make sure u keep fluids in you whatever you want to drink any fluid is better than none ( no alchohol!) and get some fruit and put it in the freezer and get ice cold before you eat it!! mmmmmmmmmm or if you are in the mood for somethign hot try soup.

Totally normal - make sure you're drinking enough water though - as much as you possibly can. Good luck!!! :)
