For almost two weeks now, I have been losing circulation in my right arm at night. I'll wake up, and my entire hand will look like a balloon. I have to get up and get the circulation going again before I can get back to sleep. It makes my hand hurt so bad like it is sprained or something, though I know that is just the swelling. And I get pins and needles all up and down my arm, starting at the back of my shoulder.

Anyone else experience this or something like it? If so, did you find anything to help, like a certain position or something? I am miserable at night and would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Sorry for griping so early this morning, but thanks for "listening"!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome to the joys of pregnancy. I had this with my pregnancy as well, nothing I did worked. Even after birth I had this and still do at times at 9 months post partum.

Laying on the left side is the only thing that helps my "falling asleep" problems while sleeping. Though honestly, it being a little elevated on a body pillow can help sometimes.

    Good luck,

I have found that holing on to something (like a small pillow) helped me with this problem. I have circulation issues in my legs at night too, oh the joys!

    Good luck!

Thanks so much for your suggestions, those of you who responded. I'll try the pillow under my arm.

I called my doctor just to see what his suggestion was, and he said to go see him tomorrow morning, just to be on the safe side, to make sure it is just simply pregnancy related circulation issues.

    Appreciate the input!
