any one else have a lopsided belly? I'm only 16w, but ever since I started to show, my left side is larger and harder than my right. I have a doc appt tomorrow and I'm going to ask her about it, but I'm curious to see if I'm the only one.

I"m a bit further along...but YUP...belly tends to be lopsided often....kind of funny too! They both seem to like my right side.

It's really funny when they shift...the other day someone's butt was sticking up right in the middle...everyone noticed it...my husband called it a 'belly-erection'! haha

Both of my girls have their heads in the middle of my belly and their feet sticking out my left side. When they stretch out, my left side looks like I have a bag of rocks stuck up in there! I think you're completely normal to be lopsided and don't be surprised if it stays that way. My girls have favored my left side since day 1.

My boys are centered, side by side, basically "sitting" on my pelvis with their legs crossed, so I'm pretty symmetrical, but I have noticed that often it seems like my right side sticks out a little farther than the left. No one else has noticed it though. That happens to be the side with the more active baby, who also tends to measure at least slightly ahead of his brother, so that may explain it. :)

I was on bed rest for 7 weeks and was told many many many times to lay on my left side. Well my babies must have shifted to the left side because it was so obviously lopsided, I looked crazy!

My girls liked the left side for the last month of my pg. It was very obvious, even passers by would notice which made me feel a little self-conscious. I just didn't take it personally, it wasn't a big deal. I was always curious though as to why they would stay like that when there was plenty of room on the right side. Guess we'll never know:)

Yep!! Mine has always been a little larger on the left side. You can't really tell from photos but in person most people can tell. My little boy is on the left side and he's always been a bit bigger than our girl and you can definitely tell. LOL As far as harder - I think that depends on the position. In that case my girl has been breech for a long time and her head always pushes up near my ribs - completely deforming my tummy when she does that LOL - so that side is harder sometimes (she's nearer to the "top/front" of my belly). Pretty soon you'll see your tummy do all sorts of funky things. LOL It's entertaining.

I keep getting comments on how "small" I am for twins... we found out why yesterday. One in head down, while his brotherhas inserted himself in my ribs! We got to watch him doing squats with his head and knees on my ribs! My rib cage was literally flexing while the peri was watching! Turns out, I've gained 8 inches in my rib cage in 4 weeks! Thanks to the new boob-splosion and the massive rib cage, I look like I've eaten too much on top, then there's a low spot right above my belly button, then a big round baby belly under that! Thank heavens I'm long waisted! :) The doc says their weights are great as is their amnio, so it's not an issue of things actually being small, it's just how it's all squooshed in there! :)

So yeah, I have a really weird looking preggy belly.... no pretty roundness here! More like a stepped-on pear! :)

Yes, I too, am lopsided. I knew baby b was bigger before they told me and in my case the placenta for b is posterior (the side that juts out). Baby a's placenta is anterior and that is my "small" side. Not sure that makes a difference in the lopsidedness but it does in the kicking department. Baby b's kicks are much more pronounced!

I keep getting comments on how small I am too - it is driving me nuts. The babies are both a good size for 34 weeks (last week 3 lbs 8 oz and 4 lbs 7oz) but all I hear is how small I am. I am also eating like a freak although I know the mother's weight is not a good indicator of baby growth. Also, the "weight" I have gained is all baby out front - I look so funny from the side view and barely pregnant from the front. Very different from how I looked with my first.

early on both girls had their heads resting on my right side and caused me a lot of right hip/groin pain, but then one day they just moved and as they grew DD2 was under my right ribs and DD1 in the middle so my belly was huge on the right side... DD1 just wasnt' willing to give up her spot in the middle so she pushed DD2 up and under my right ribs, which was fun :) my c-section scar is slightly crooked but i can't really blame the surgeon, he probably cut straight across but i was so off center afterwards it looks off :)

Yep - I was lopsided during pregnancy and now that my twins are nearing 4 years old, I'm still lopsided! :p I think my left side got more stretched out and never quite got back to normal. It's not enough for anyone but me to notice though.

My girls make my belly look WEIRD!

Baby A is on the right and head down. Baby B was sideways, laying on her sister and is now head down with her legs on her sister.... Im always lopsided... :)

oh yes... that was the case for me...Baby B was up and to the left and Baby A was head down the whole time in my pelvis, so my left side was always fuller, giving me an odd oblong shape to my belly...not at all like my first pregnancy with my daughter

I'm not lopsided yet, but I was with both of my singleton pregnancies. Each time my boys would have their bums protruding way out to my right just under my rib cage. It looked pretty funny.
