Looks like just 1 this time!

    Well, we had our first ultrasound yesterday. Despite the u/s tech being surprised she was doing one on me so soon (I believe I'm 6 weeks today) we were able to see the amniotic sac and the yolk sac - good signs. We could not yet see the heartbeat - but that is not a surprise. We couldn't see the twins' heartbeat this early either.

    There was a moment of concern -- there was a "shadow" underneath the bean - the tech kept checking it but it was the wrong shape (very oval/oblong) and a bit smaller than the actual bean. She said this could be a blood sac or it could have been an undeveloped embryo, she said it didn't look like anything and is normal at this point of my pregnancy.

    Bottom line is she said it looked like a good pregnancy (fingers crossed!) and - just one!

    So if all goes well - we'll have 3 under 2 this time next year... Yowsa!
