    Hi :wavey:,

I'm looking for a big toy box for A&N's toys. We would like to have a place to keep them when they're not in use. TIA :).

Option 1 - get a plastic deck box, the ones that are meant to be sat on. Hard to find at this time of year (for anyone where it snows). I think they're about $40?

Option 2 (more money) - get a nice wooden chest and make sure it has a latch/hinge that keeps the lid up so they can't drop it on their fingers.

    Hi Pamela!

We have had two different types, both Little Tikes brand.

On that was similar to this one, which was horrible, because the lid detaches and therefore does not stay 'up' when they are in it.

And, this one(I guess they don't make it anymore?), which has the lid that slides into the toy box, and book shelf up on top. I love this one.

I would recommend getting one that has an attached lid, that stays open while they are playing.

step2 has a bench one still

We have the one Becky is talking about, with the book shelf on top and lid that slides in and we love it. :good: Very useful!!

We got ours at IKEA. It look nice and turns into a bench and it has the special hinges that dont get fingers slammed down on.

Both my girls and my son have Little Tikes toyboxes. I have had my son's toybox for close to 10 years and it has held up so good that I can't imagine ever buying anything other than Little Tikes.

We also have the one where the lid slides into the toybox. What I love about it is that the opening is at an angle so it's super easy for them to get in there and get stuff. Ours is by Step 2 but I can't find a link to ours anywhere on the net. Step 2 has this one that is slightly similar, but ours doesn't have the bookshelf up top...I wish it did.

That is probably why I couldn't find it on the Little Tikes site....ours is Step 2 also. :fool: Ours has the little shelf on top, but not the double shelf like in the link.
