    Hi everyone!
I'm new here, and I just found out I am pregnant with twins on Wednesday! They will be #2 and #3, we already have a baby who is ten months old now! I am due in February. DH and I are both completely in shock!!! It totally hasn't sunk in yet.

Anyway, I am looking for a doctor recommendation in Broward County, Florida (Plantation, Davie, Tamarac, Pembroke Pines, Cooper City, Lauderhill area would be great, but anywhere in South Broward would do). It's really important to me to avoid a C-section if possible, so I am looking for a doctor who is willing to work with me in that area (my current doctor will only do vaginal if BOTH twins are vertex). It doesn't really matter to me if the doc is high risk or a regular OBGYN, as long as they are experienced with twins and don't automatically jump to a C-section.

Or, if you know where I could find some doctor recommendations, that would be great.

Thanks everyone, and happy (and a bit dazed) to be here!

    :welcome: to TS!

No experience with FL docs, but some ladies here live in FL, so hopefully you get some good input.

Have you contacted your local Mothers of Multiples group? They would have a good list of doctors in your area. I'm originally from Tampa, but have no idea of MDs in Broward. The closest member I can think of lives in West Palm Beachish, so not as far south as you need.

No!!! DH was NOT with me lol!!!! This is our 2&3 (what we thought was second) and I figured it would just be a routine apt, so I didn't even ask him to come with me. AHAHAHAHHAHA, though I wish he could have been there, I think my favorite marriage moment so far has to be calling him up to tell him it's twins:
    Me: We're having twins.
    DH: what?
    Me: we're having twins
    DH: your joking
    Me: nope, we're having twins.
    DH: are they sure?
Me: no, I'm playing a joke on you. Yes they're sure!
    DH: Oh. My. G-d. What?
    Me: We're having twins.
    DH: Oh my G-d.
    Repeat repeat repeat.

The doctor was actually the one doing the ultrasound and they only did one because I wasn't sure if the LMP/due date was accurate bc I'm still nursing my 10 month old. I couldn't see the screen when they first started and the doctor was like, 'Oh I forgot to ask you one thing. Do you have twins in your family?' And I was like, 'Excuse me???' and he turned the screen to me and said "well now you do!" My grandmother on my father's side actually had fraternal twins, a boy and girl (my aunt and uncle), and while I've had many theoretical conversations about having twins, I never ever in a million years thought it would actually happen!!!!

We are a little concerned about vanishing twin syndrome (G-d forbid) so we are not telling anyone (our parents and a couple of close friends) that it's twins until after 12 weeks. But we are having lots of fun imagining their reactions :)

Oh my goodness that story is priceless!!!! My dh was not with me when I found out we were having twins either but he made sure he was at the next ultrasound LOL!!

I can't wait to hear your family's reactions to the big news!!! Oh my goodness - you should do it in person and take a video camera!!!

About the camera, I know right! Hopefully we will be able to arrange that. I wish I somehow had been able to see DH's face when I told him too!

Also, everyone, ahem hem, SUCCESSS!!! I found a doctor who is willing to do a vaginal birth for vertex/breech. THANK G-D!, since these creatures are extremely rare in the medical wasteland of Florida. It's funny because he's a doctor with an excellent reputation for being pro 'natural' births, who I actually considered using for my first birth, but I ended up using someone else on recommendation from a friend. Now, while I was trying to find a doctor to go to, I remembered his name and emailed his office because it was after office hours. He emailed me back personally within a couple of hours, to tell me that he is comfortable doing that, and to call the office for an appointment. I am so so so happy.

Ok, so I have another question: On the ultrasound pics, you can clearly see two separate black blobs, with smaller white blobs in them. Does that mean the babies are Di/Di?
