Looking for a double travel System?

Discussion in 'Pregnancy Help' started by REBECCABARBIER, Dec 22, 2008.

I have been incredibly frustrated looking for an Infant stroller travel system? Looking at BRU and Bergstroms, you’d think multiples are the rarest occurrence in the world! I wanted a Snap n ’Go, but found out (from another post on this forum) that my car seat (Chicco KeyFit 30) does not fit on the Snap n ’Go. I have looked at the Graco’s, but not crazy about the 15 lb weight of the seat. I love that the Chicco is only 9 lbs. So now I have been forced to reconsider my entire plan. I know there are “Travel Systems” out there for Twins, but I cannot find where they are sold?

For those mother of Twins out there, what do you use? Any words of wisdom???

    Thanks,
    Rebecca

Are you looking for a system with 2 carseats included? I don't think I've seen one of those. Course I haven't been looking that hard because we have one carseat already....hopefully someone else can help you!

Do you have the car seats already? Maybe look at the chicco website to see if they have one. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I too originally wanted the Chicco car seat, but was given a double snap and go so I had to pick car seats to fit. Good luck!

I have bought my stroller and plan to use my previous graco carseat and just get a duplicate car seat as they can snap into the stroller. I think I am going to mostly use the stroller for playground walks with 3 yr old daughter and doctor's visits. I really will do anything to plan around taking them everyone to the grocery store when they arrive.

Don't stress it, you will find something.

the chicco keyfit DOES work with the snap n go. i just put ours together yesterday. tested it all out and it will be fine. i bought it all at BRU and the saleswoman showed us how it could work before we purchased it all. on the snap n go you do not use any of the 3 bars that screwed on it (i think at spots A, B, C noted on the stroller) so you take those off. (i think those bars are there to hold the seat in from slipping through to the basket below.) the chicco seat rests on the black plastic bar and fits snuggly in the snap n go - they will not slip through. the straps on the stroller cross over the seat and hold the car seat in place. once you get both seats on the stroller and strapped on, they are not going anywhere. also the stroller has two little flippy things that hold the front seat in. i have read on other internet sites where people have used the chicco seats with the snap n go as well - so... that is why i didn't rule it out until i actually was in the store seeing if it would or wouldn't work....

i will also add that after testing the car seats in the store i found the chicco seat to be the easiest to release and put back in on its base - VERY simple. but i actually took one seat back though because once i got it home it didn't release as smoothly as the other one i had. when i got the replacement home it too released very smoothly... so that one was just a dud... thus IF you get a chicco seat, it should be very smooth and simple to release from the base.

    good luck chosing!

I do not think they sell a double travel system. We purchased two car seats and the Double Snap N Go. Haven't used them yet, My babies are still in the NICU and are now 3 weeks 3 days old. Good Luck!

I don't know of any travel systems for twins sold like that. I made my own and bought the Graco duoglider and 2 snugride infant carriers to go with it. But they were not all sold as a set.

I think the Kolcraft Contours stroller takes two infant seats (sold separately). But I don't know if your carseat is one of the ones.

You will only find a tandem style (not side by side)stroller that takes two car seats b/c otherwise it will be too wide to fit through a door. A lot of strollers take one, because they are set up for an older child/ new baby situation.

I don't mind purchasing the car seats separately. I am just looknig for a tandem stroller that allows you to snap in two car seats. Then when they get bigger it can be a regular stroller? I would like something preferablly at BRU since that is where I am registered...

My friend gave her Duo glider to me. I've not found it online either, but it was in our two local stores. They had it on clearance, though, and they said it was bc they were making room for the newer model? I love it! It fits both the Graco Snugride and Safeseat (I have one of each).

Kolcraft Double Strollers is the one we have.

Comes in blue & red. With the red system you have to buy the car seat adapters the blue one (we have this one) comes with them already and an Ipod player.

The ipod player is really a speaker and not worth a whole lot, but the cost of having to buy the stroller and 2 seat adapters was more than the package deal.

    here's a link to them http://www.kolcraft.com/product.aspx?id=16...mp;shopby=brand
