what have you ladies heard about long sleeve sleep sacks, are they safe? all the halo sleep sacs are short sleeve and it says something about sleeveless reducing the risk of re-breathing into the sleeves...

I'm looking for a long sleeve b/c their little hands get really cold at night but the kiddopotamus large says only up to 24lbs and they are 22 already.

anyone know of bigger long sleeve sacks?

What about the fleece Gerber jammies - it's just a body suit with long sleeves and feet. That's what my mom uses and then puts them in the light cotton Halo sleep sack. We got them at BRU.

I have never heard that long sleeve sleep sacks are unsafe - I don't know what about it would be unsafe as long as the sleeves are snug around their arms and not loose.

    Same here.

I don't think I used sacks at 7 months though. I think I used footsie PJ's, Maybe that's the problem. I think sacks are more for infants who need many diaper changes. By 7 months you shouldn't need to change them in the middle of the night and they are starting to crawl (which you can't do in sacs) so PJ's are just a better option. Pj's also keep their legs warmer better. I used fleece blanket sleepers. Very warm and cozy!!!

Okay, I just googled what ou are talking about. Iwas referring to a baby sack, not blanket sack which I think you are referring to now.
sleephuggers Are here but sleeveless too.

I still think Blanket sleepers are the way to go.here

I have not seen any long sleeve sleep sacks, so I don't know much about them. However, I would have to agree with what Aimee said that if the sleeves are snug enough, then the babies should be fine. We either use the blanket sleepers or a fleece sleep sack with a long sleeve onesie underneath.

We got some sacks at burlington coat factory for the twins. I can't wait to use them on Evan. :) They were/are long sleeved.

We used footsie pajamas underneath the sleep sacks so they had long-sleeves on. Their hands still got cold though but it doesn't seem to bother them. Our house was usually in the 62-65 degree range at night.

Carters sleepsacks are long-sleeve and go up to 9 months but those would be too small.

We have used sleep sacks for months now and they are long sleeved. We got ours at Wal-Mart and they are the Carters brand. The arms are snug, and sometimes they cover their hands - but that's about all.

we use the gro-bags from once upon a child; its very long but warm and it snaps up at the neck or zipper so it cant go over thier heads when rolling around. I use sleep sacks til my kids are old enough to be in a bed and use blankets-so age 2.5 yr old-my YDS loved his sack and i had to have a bigger one made! I know a woman who makes them extra large/roomy for those bigger babies/kids!
