I am exhausted from dealing with my 3 year old and 6 month old twins all weekend without DH. He left for an 8 day business trip very early on Saturday. Have to say the 3 year old was awesome and a lot of fun this weekend BUT the twins were fussy and off their nap/sleep schedules. They got the colds that the 3 year old had then I got then DH and now the little ones. Plus they had shots last Monday. And I think the first tooth is starting to come on for my son. Rough week for the little guys. So I am sipping some decaf tea and really wishing it were a glass of wine right now [IMG] We are moving at end of APril to Oregon and then I will be a SAHM and so DH called tonight to make sure I still wanted to move and stay at home. Gee, it wasn't that rough of a weekend.

    Cheers!

Congrats on surviving the weekend! My DH is out of town for 8 days too, and coming home tomorrow. But at least I only have 2 kids! And they are easier at 16 months than they were at 6 (at least I think so -- opinions vary [IMG] ). Anyway, I'm glad it didn't make you want to change your plans!

My DH just left this morning for 10 days for work. He was home last week and gone the week before that. He took a new job just before we had the twins that paid more $$ so that I could be a SAHM. However, we didn't anticipate him having to travel 2.5+ weeks out of each month, and he's going to have to go to Switzerland, Germany and Italy this summer.

My twin boys are 5 mos. My olders is 9 and he's a help, but it's tough because evenigs are hard - he's got cub scouts, and homework to do that I need to help with, and the twins are ready for bed, plus there is dinner to made/cleaned up, bottles to make, etc.

Because of all this, we decided to go back to hosting an Au Pair for the next year just so that I will have some help for when he's traveling. She's from Ecuador and arrives on 4/6. I can't wait! And DS is excited because she can teach him Spanish.

UGH why is it that every time dh goes away everyone gets sick? It sounds like you're doing a great job. Just gotta hang in there for the rest of the week. 8 days is a long time! At the end you will deserve the supermom of the year award!

[IMG] [IMG] I think you read my mind! My dh is home, technically, but not much. He's been working insane hourse the past couple weeks, from about 7am to 8pm. We finally got a 1/2 day with him yesterday & we all went to the river. But I'm EXHAUSTED! We've got teething here, too, and Zoe has a bit of a fever today (I think teething-related.)

I'm in Oregon, too! What part are you moving to?

It must be a get sick weekend cause mine are sick also. Dh went away overnight on a business trip and I wasn't looking forward to it. I can't imagine him being gone longer. [IMG]
