I have so many errands to do today, so I figure we'll probably be out for awhile. And this would be our 1st time out since dropping the afternoon bottle. I need some ideas for what to do for lunch....I'm stumped!!!

    How old are they?

When we go out I take lots of snacks, Gold Fish, pudding, fruit, animal crackers, and I also take a Cooler style lunch bag and take yogurt or something. Some times ill stop at Mcdonalds for something too. Mine at 17m

We've been doing this for dinners when we go to the amusement park after nap. The easiest so far has been cheese cubes, bananas/raisins, some kind of carb (we've done all kinds of crackers, granola bars, dry cereal, you name it!) and if they really need it I'll take a cup of milk since they don't have anything after dinner before bed. I try to just give them water and last weekend I did give them a cup of milk when we got home. I try to keep it somewhat balanced but more snack type foods than meal foods. hth

Fruits, cheese, milk, water, trail mix (I mix raisins, almonds, granola, cheerios, etc.), yogurts, bread - I bake my own and the girls love to snack on it. I put everything in the cooler bag with ice-blocks.

If they're not really self-feeding yet, IMO it is a bit easier. I usually brought some jarred food -- they were pretty tidy eaters if I was spoon-feeding them. And some cheese, crackers, goldfish, puffs.... I would also often splurge on some purchased muffins or something.

I have trouble now because they are self-feeding, and it's very messy, plus they have gotten more picky.

Whenever we have to do lunch out I pack a Smucker's Uncrustable Sandwich, Red grapes (in a ziploc bag for each) and a string cheese. Also their sippy.
