I'm 8 days post c-section with the twins and still have a dark reddish-brownish discharge. Not alot...mild to moderate. When does it change to white? Should I be worried that it's still dark?

I'm sure it is different for everyone, but both times mine has looked "period-like" for about 2 weeks.

I bled for 6 weeks after delivering, the amount depended on my activity level. Days where I took it easier the flow was definitely less.

I bled for about 5 weeks w/ my DD and 5 weeks w/ the twins, but then lucky me just when I thought I was done I got my period! If you are not BF-ing you may want to prepare yourself, TMI,but mine was HORRIBLE I freaked out it was so much, like right after I had delivered but when they say "riding the crimsom tide" thats how I felt. I breastfed my DD so did not know it was going to be so bad.

I bled for almost 2 months. It's a good sign that yours is dark red, that means stuff is healing. :)

I am 8 days post vag/c-section delivery today. My bleeding has mostly stopped except for after I breastfeed. I seem to bleed a little bit right after breastfeeding. Then the blood stops until my next breastfeeding session. Today I noticed that the blood is a lot less now after breastfeeding and starting to turn darker red/brownish.

Originally I thought that you will bleed more after having twins. When I asked the nurse at the hospital, she said it's about the same as a singleton.
