nothings working! i think he's GOT to be teething! he's chomping down on my finger so hard.
toys, swing, crib - nothing is consoling him. i tried walking around with him and holding him and it worked for 5 mins and then screams like you wouldn't believe again! this has gotta be teething, right?

Does he have a fever? Did you try a bottle (even if he's eaten recently)? He may just be over tired. Did you give Tylenol yet? If not, try that and keep on cuddling!

It definitely sounds like it could be teething. I think one of my LOs is just now starting to teeth as well. He is drooling everywhere and chewing on everything and I saw him tug on his ear the other day. I'm kinda surprised he would start teething so soon given his adjusted age, but it is possible from what I've read. Just now I ordered some baby orajel, Hyland's teething tablets, and infant ibuprofen to get us through the teething stage, whenever it officially hits. Also, I ordered these maple teething rings months ago but haven't had to use them yet (will probably try them soon). They are very highly rated, even though it seems odd that a baby would like to chomp on wood! LOL

I read your previous posts. Since your boys never been tested for milk allergy, maybe you should try a different formula like Enfamil Lactose Free. It really helped my son who was passing mucous in his stool, like yours and was miserable on Nestle Good Start with Natural Cultures and Soy formula. He is now on Enfamil Lactose-Free and he is the happiest boy ever.

Definitely passing mucous in the stool is not a sign of teething. Something is bothering him in his tummy. Maybe reflux? I really think you should take him to the doctor and probably you should get a second opinion. From my opinion, if he was just tired and cranky, you'd be able to soothe him for longer than 5 min for sure. Take him to the doctor.

he does have reflux but he's been back on the soy formula. this isn't the baby with the mucousy stools, either.

The all natural teehing tablets (bought them right beside the baby orajel have worked miracles on my cranky little man. I said yeasterday that it felt like he had been teething for three years instead of three weeks. BTW they have no effect on his sister. Guess every baby is different.
