Does anyone out there have the Little People Animal Sounds Farm? My boys got it for Christmas & I took it out of the box, but now I'm worried I've lost a piece or something. If you're looking into it from the back, there is a spot that looks like something snaps in behind the sheep's pen. It's almost all the way back towards the end of the 'green grass' in the back. Did I lose something? Or why is that there?

Also, each animal appears to have it's own 'spot'. There's a sticker for each animal by their corresponding pen with their corresponding animal sound. Where in the world does the goat go? Or does he just stroll around without a pen :)???

I must also say that I'm disappointed in the animal sounds, too. I fully understand that they're 'life like' & sound 'real', but I'm trying to teach my boys animal sounds & this doesn't help. For a horse, we say NEIGH, but it kinda winnies (sp?) on the farm. We also say "BAAAA" for a sheep, but this more has a "mmmmeeeewwww" sound (again, realistic, but the boys look at it funny...like why isn't it saying BAAAA?).

I guess I was looking for a little more in our first farm. Don't get me wrong, they love to play with (I mean, fight over) it...it's more me that's dissapointed.

Anyways, can anyone let me know if I need to scour my garbage for a missing piece for the back? Maybe it's the goat's pen :)! I looked online but don't see anything (although I do see that they have the goat in the sheep's pen with the sheep in the pig's....totally wrong!).

    Thanks in advance!

There is a little non-opening gate behind the sheep pen. It's brown. Is that what you mean?

I don't have this particular LP set, but just a comment on the animal sounds. I prefer "real" sounds to fake Baas and Neighs. We have this silly little remote control thing that makes animal noises, and I swear it's just some guy sitting there saying "Oink!" "Moo!".

Hmm, we have last year's version and there isn't a goat. Looking at the picture, they didn't make any new space for the goat, so I guess he roams. Now, in our the cow and horse share a stall, the sheep and pig get their own space.

I wasn't crazy about the sounds either, but I really want to know what else I'm supposed to do with the slide thing at the top. You can only eject the farmer and animals so many times before you need something more functional.

I dont like the sounds either. My girls tell me the sheep says baa and the horse says neigh.

There is a piece, like a non-movable gate.

Here is the other problem I have with the goat, what does he say?!

My girls love it but I think it could be better. :pardon:

Well, I dug through all the trash (luckily it was just boxes & twist ties & tape & those little plastic pieces that the twist ties go on....you know, the destruction you get after trying to open kid toys!)....

No brown fence :(. We must've gotten shorted. Oh well, it doesn't seem important to the workings of the farm, so I'll just leave it be. I was really hoping it was the goat's pen (I don't like that he doesn't have a pen!).

Isn't it funny how different people prefer realistic animals sounds vs the sounds you teach a child? We have a few items that make farm animal noises and NONE of them are 'neigh' or 'baaaa'. It's so frustrating!

Cohlee, I JUST asked my husband tonight what a goat says. Neither of us could think of it! Maybe someone else can help :)!!!

I feel left out.... ours didn't come with a goat :(
We just have a green flat surface like grazing fields in the back behind our sheeps pen.
Maybe they want us parents to buy the additional little sets to go along with it? My SIL did buy the twins the little set that is a pen with a chicken,Lama, & a rabbit. It all looks cute together for like five seconds before they come and destroy it...HA Ha Ha!! I'm also trying to figure out why they made the silo so easy to detach from the barn??

    Have fun Playing :)

we've got the one with the llama and the goat. I let the goat hang out in the back of the barn. The llama gets to graze on the open range of the living room :D

I want a Llama! I don't think they 'say' anything, but they do spit! However, I wouldn't teach my child that ;)!

I read in the instructions that the silo detaches easily & just needs to be snapped back on. You'd think that if the company realized it detached so easily, they'd fix it. I mean, really, does it even NEED to detach? It folds in nicely for storage, so why not just leave it at that?

I might need to go shopping to find that Llama...how funny!

Up here in Canada a goat says " Maaaahhh" similar to the sheep but with an "M" (the only reason I know this is we had little billy goats on our farm and thats what they "said" LOL)

The other thing is on all the Little People sets they can attach to each other to make a neighborhood. So, there will be a spot or two that attaches to other sets and it does look like something is missing. Like we have the train set and it attaches to the construction site, farm, house, and other stuff.

Tha llama looks like an alpaca to me! I know it says it's a llama, but I disagree.

The goats in our house say Meheheheh, Like Baaaaah for sheep but with an M and with a soft "E" like egg.

The animals that came with my farm set never stay close enough to the barn to worry about where they "live". I'll more likely find a finger puppet or a sock in the barn than I will an animal.

Ditto! Must be a Canadian thing!

Our farm was a gift from their auntie and I didn't even know it made sounds. I won't be putting any batteries in it though. No need as far as I am concerned. Sadly, it seems as though the girls don't like it much anyways. It sure can't compete with some of their other gifts.
