Luciano was born last Tuesday at 9:40a.m. 8lbs 9oz and 20" long! I had a scheduled c-section due to complications from the twins c-section. The c-section was pretty routine except for a tiny anxiety attack due to the nausea I was feeling during the closing after he was delivered everything went smoothly. Even though my Dr was not totally for it I left the hospital a day early. I hated the fact that I could not see the twins the whole time I was in the hospital. Luciano is a great baby he is either sleeping or nursing. The nursing is going well except that his latching has caused some splitting and bleeding so I am using nipple shields until they heal. We went for his 1 week check up today and he is up to 8.4 after losing some weight in the hospital. The twins love him and are always concerned about where he is and if he is crying. Their attitude has not changed at all. They seem to be acting the same way as before he was born. SO that is pretty much it. Thanks for all the positive vibes during my pregnancy.

Congratulations!!! I had the same nursing trouble with my last... Call your doctor or the hospital to see if they have an antibiotic cream for you. My hospital pharmacy mixed their own and it worked like magic to heal my nipples. Shields can actually pro-long the problem. Don't wait if you are in pain, the antibiotic nipple cream can really work well.

Congrats!!! I hope breastfeeding is going better for you! My nipples had blisters on them while in the hospital, and it was awful, but after working on her latch and lots of feedings, everything is a-ok. :)

    POST PICS! :)

Congrats! Yes, it does hurt at the beginning. Has with all mine as they "toughen up". Took about 10-14 days or so before being completely pain free. There is a nipple cream that is awesome. It's made at a compounding pharmacy. I think it's called "All Purpose Nipple Cream" or something like that.
