Lily flipped out of the island exersaucer today

So I am at work and get a frantic call from my mom that Lily flipped herself out of the island exersaucer (it is like a reverse exersaucer where they can walk around the toys in the center, instead of being surround by the toys). She was only about 18 inches from the floor and kinda sommersaulted over the edge. My mom said Lily cried for about 10 minutes, has no visible marks, but just scared herself. I called the peditrician and the nurse said it was good that she was crying and to just keep an eye on her for 24 hours to make sure she doesn't get groggy. Thank goodness we have carpet and heavy padding in that room. I think my mom was more shook up that it happened on her "watch" and she was about 3 feet from her, but it happened so fast she couldn't grab her in time.

Thanks for letting me vent and share. This was our first scare of a fall. Let's just say the island is going to the garage tonight when DH gets home.

 

I'm sorry for the scare :hug:. It sounds like she will be okay. You can vent anytime .

 

Oh no! I'm glad she is okay, I bet that gave your mom quite a scare.

 

That is scary but I am glad she is okay. I always keep telling myself, there are going to be way more bumps and bruises along the way. :hug:

We have one of those and JUST started to use it last night. I was watching Rose play in it while I was feeding Alyssa this morning and almost freaked out cause she leans over the edge [like she wants a toy on the ground] and it almost looks as though she's trying to pull herself out! Her feet were off the ground!!
