I'm just wondering. We were fine waiting until the u/s following this one, but when they scheduled me for my u/s on Christmas Eve we got kind of excited to possibly surprise the family with the genders. Did anyone find out with pretty much absolute certainty at that time? We know they're identical so that should make it easier, right? :)

We were told at 16 weeks as a "best guess" but not to rush out and buy everything pink. Only one baby would cooperate at that time, so we "thought" they were girls (definitely ID too). Turned out, they were right, but we didn't know for sure until 18 weeks!

I found out 100% that baby B is a boy, and about 90% that baby A is a girl at 14w3d. It really depends on the position of the babies. I have a friend who is an ultrasound tech and she said at 14 weeks they can start looking. Gender can be seen by ultrasound(3d) at 12 weeks. At 16 weeks external genitalia is fully formed. So I would say if you have a good ultrasound tech who is patient and willing to look, it's a very good possibility. :D

We found out the gender at 13 weeks. She had to tell us it was a 'guess' but she said she could tell with certainty (and she was right!).
I would think at 15 weeks that they could make an educated 'guess' and it would be pretty solid?!
    Good luck!!!

We found out our genders at 14 weeks, 5 days! So you just may get your wish! However, that day we had our Nuchal Translucency test done (which is a very detailed ultrasound) so I'm not sure without that, they'd see them right away but maybe!

We could tell at 16 weeks, but they only 'guess' they won't say with certainty! They were correct at 16 weeks as it turns out, by the way!

    Congratulations!!

At our nuchal fold u/s they told us that Jake was a boy ... we even got the "money shot" picture ... they couldn't tell at all for Baby B. We found out at 17weeks that she was a she.

If you get a "money shot" of a boy at that age, the tech will usually call it. If the appearance is still possibly female, then they won't make any certain guesses. The possibility remains too high that the testicles just haven't dropped yet to go out buying pink.

At 15 weeks the u/s tech was pretty certain she saw evidence on both of our identicals that they were boys. Because she saw on both we are pretty certain she is right but we will ask for a double check at our 20 week u/s. Only 10 days to go!

Yep what she said, it's more often to misguess a "girl" than a "boy" as long as you have that money shot! :)

We want, of course, two healthy babies, and we'd be thrilled with either gender, but we're kind of hoping for two of those testosterone-filled "money shots" :)

It also depends on how skilled the u/s tech is. We found out about our b/g twins at 12 weeks, 6 days. She was 90% sure and ended up being correct. There are different positions to look at for a genital pole at this stage, which points up at an angle for a boy and straight along with the spine for a girl. But you're even 3 weeks ahead of this, so I think it's very possible. Depends on the babies positions and your u/s tech. Good luck!

With my first DD we learned at 18 weeks, with my second DD they said for sure a boy at 18 weeks, but only to find out at 24 weeks he was a she.

    Good luck!

My OB was pretty certain that he saw both boy and girl parts at 14w2d. My u/s friend confirmed it for us when we were 15w5d with 100% certainty. I say you are pretty good to go as long as they are patient and willing to look. We were able to see the "parts" very clearly at that point. Good luck!!! It would be so great to tell everyone at Christmas!!!

Again, you all have me so excited! At this point I think I'll be disappointed if we DON'T get to find out :( No one in the family even knows that it's a possibility to find out, and only one person even knows that we have an u/s scheduled then. Please keep everything crossed for us and pray that our Ricky-Bobby (yeah, we're pathetic, we know :p ) cooperates with UNcrossed everything!
