Im 9 weeks today. When I went the the bathroom today I wiped and there was alot more than usual of mucousy discharge and it was tinged pinkish in color. Not dark but barely pink. Could this be the start of a m/c? Im having no pain back or abdominal. Please tell me it could be something else!

I had spotting at 8 wks and 9 wks. Both times it was pink and I had no cramps or pain. I can't predict what will happen with you but I can tell you that spotting is very common. When I brought it up with my doc at my last appt he said it's very normal and to try not to worry. They said it's more common for you to spot when you would have been due for AF too...which would have probably been pretty close for you considering you are 9 wks.

I had the same problem early in my pregnancy. At about 8 or 9 weeks I had bleeding and went to the ER. They didn't know what it was so they said the same thing, threaten M/C. On the u/s at the hospital and Dr. everything was fine both babies had perfect heartbeats and looked good. The bleeding stopped and a few weeks later it came back. I don't know if this is just something some women go through with twin pregnancy or not but I have ran into a lot of people that has been through this also. I am 24 weeks and my babies are fine. At every u/s that have good heartbeats and looks good, I had about 3 or 4 episodes of bleeding but no more. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for everything to be ok. Hope everthing goes well. ;)

I had spotting with my last (singleton) pg at 4, 8 and 12 weeks.

I had spotting at 5 and 9 weeks this time. It was just light pink as well. Call your Ob/gyn to ease your mind, but it is probably fine.

Thanks. Im doing alot of praying too. Im considering going in just to ease my mind. It would be so nice to hear those little HB...Maybe tomorrow if its still the same. Right now im resting and drinking.

I did have the same thing with 2 of my other kids. So I hope it nothing. Is there adifference in blood/mucous color? Does color mean different things?

    I'll keep everyone posted.

And yes, PJ you are right. I would be just about due for AF now. I really hope you are right. Would going to the ER be overly done? I worry about too many U/S too...Im for sure calling my Dr first thing in the morning. I almost HOPE he tells me to go in. Then I WILL feel better.

Well, almost 12 hours and nothing else. Still no pain, and no more discharge. Im keeping my fingers crossed. Im hoping I can wait to call the Dr until Monday. My next app isnt until July 18th! That is sooooo far away! Would he see me just to listed to HB if I asked?

Most docs are very good about reassuring pregnant ladies- especially since stress can just make things worse. Both my docs (the reproductive endocrinologis, and my OB GYN) have been great about keeping me calm- I spotted for a week and had 3 ultrasounds during that time!

I did the same thing early in my twin pregnancy!!! I have 3 other children and my twin pregnancy was much different than my singleton pregnancies. at 9 wks to about 13 weeks with the twins I spotted and bled quite a bit. Mine was due to a subchorionic hemmorage which is apparently pretty common in twin pregnancies. they told me not to lift anything and not to stand for long periods of time. I did like you are doing - rested and drank tons of water and finally it resolved.
I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!! I thought I was an expert on being pregnant since I had done it so many times before - but being pregnant with 2 taught me so much more than I had ever dreamed of when I was pregnant with 1!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your sweet babies!! and let us know what the dr. says on monday!!

    :hug99: Heather

I have heard a lot of people say that this happened with them and it was not a miscarriage. Try to relax, but definately call your doctor and ask them what they think. Good luck!

Well, Its Sunday. Still no more pink discharge or pains at all. Im taking this as a good sign. I am going to call my Dr tomorrow. Would I look crazy to ASK to come in so I can hear their HB? Im not sure he could even do it through doppler and I dont want to risk having too many transvaginal u/s. Or regular u/s for that matter. WWYD? Its all I can think about. We havent told any of the kids yet but I so want to tell them. I feel like I need to see the HB one more time before I tell them though.

I had bright red spotting at 5,9 and 14 weeks with the twins.

    Good luck on your ultrasound
