What is the risk as you further along with lifting heavy stuff? I know in the begining it can cause a miscarriage. but as you get further along what are the risks. Im not moving anything but was just curious as i need to finish setting up the bedroom and stuff.

I don't know what the real dangers are, but, obviously, carrying anything heavy would put a big strain on your back

I'd say that noticeably you will have BH contractions. Anything else immediate would be shortness of breath etc but if you are moving things in your bedroom like a crib, try to push them with your legs and avoid lifting if you can.

Once I found out I was carrying twins, the Dr. said NO HEAVY LIFTING. I couldn't even lift my daughter that was 28 lbs.

My doctor said heavy lifting can cause preterm labor and just puts a lot of addition strain on your body and we all know its already got enough strain going on.

I olympic lifted until my 30w  Yep, I did and I felt just fine. My Dr. knew what I was doing and he gave me the best advice. If it hurts, stop. During my 30w, my lower back was killing me. Therefore, I stopped.

Everyone is different and I believe mode of conception really plays a role. So, if you used a lot of fertility drugs you would probley want to be more careful because you really "worked" hard for your babies. I on the other hand, conceived naturally, therefore, I listened to my body and did what it told me to do.

Just listen to your body.....it will tell you!

I really don't know but I am sure it could send you into preterm labor if done frequently!
