Ok, I need some pregnancy underwear suggestions. Before the twins, I was size M in Victorias Secret panties...I used to be size XL back in the day, so I was able to wear my size L and XL Victorias Secret briefs all through my twin pregnancy and never had to think about more undies.

Well, now that I'm pregnant again, I'm not quite the size I was when I got pregnant with the twins and wearing the old undies aren't goign to cut it this time around. I started in L and then I've already moved into the XL and those won't work for too much longer. Plus, they just aren't comfortable sitting on my belly as it grows.

So, what are your suggestions? I've never tried the Motherhood Maternity underwear. What is the difference between those and just buying a bigger size elsewhere?

Also, what about thongs? Or is that just NOT practical during pregnancy? I'll occasionally wear one with dress pants, etc...but even with the twins and this pregnancy, I've noticed that those become extremely uncomfortable (at least to me) when pregnant just b/c things "down there" are a little more prominent (puffy) than they were before. Sorry, TMI, lol!

    HELP!!!

Im so glad you posted this, because I have been wondering the same thing. I have been wearing thongs through this pregnancy...but lets be honest I am not as small as I was pre-preggo and the poor little straps are holding on for dear life! I can't wait to see everyone's responses!!

I like OLD NAVY maternity. I was wearing a Medium pre preg, ended up XL maternity. They have "over the belly" kind I liked toward the end, bikini style in the beginning.

they're kind of expensive, but i've been wearning medela bikinis. they are generous in the rear and low cut in front. you can get them at gap or online at tons of stores.

I personally preferred bikini underwear when I was pregnant. Never wore thongs while pregnant, but I guess if they are comfy, go for it.

I will buck the trend - I loved HUGE granny panties that went over my belly - bikinis would just slide right off my a$$ so they were never comfortable!

    Hey!

I did both motherhood maternity and Old navy. I love old Navy maternity undies, it has more stretch in it and are WAY more comfortable. Motherhood was good for awhile but it didn't have much stretch and even though they were maternity they started rolling down (I got medium's and large's) and I end up during the day doing the undie dance trying to get them back up to where they were suppose to be.

Ditto! And when I was first pregnant my mom bought me some big granny panties from Motherhood Maternity and I was horrified, thinking "I'll never wear those!" She knows me too well - she said the day would come when that's all I'd want to wear and shes is right!! It wasn't until I was about 25 weeks pregnant, but now it's all I can stand to wear, I hate how bikinis will roll down under my belly! I had to get 2 more packs of them!

Another note for Old Navy maternity bikinis, I found the Motherhood ones way to big in the bootie (I have no bootie to speak of), and the high cut briefs i wore before being pg were really uncomfortable pushing into my belly. I love having undies that tuck under my belly and keep it from rubbing on my legs when I sit (sorry, but I've got one big belly now)!!

call me boring, but i just wear Hanes or Fruit of the Loom bikini cuts. i may move up one size toward the end, but other than that, i have no problem with my comfy cotton underwear! (my husband, on the other hand, really misses the sexy stuff lol )

I'm also wearing Old Navy. I was M prepg with most companies and am wearing M in maternity. HTH.

I wore the VS Hi Cut Bikini's thru both pregnancies. I found them to be comfortable. I bought some Motherhood maternity ones, but didn't like them. My sister wore thongs thruout all three of her pregnancies....

I wear thongs pregnant or not. For awhile in my first trimester I had to wear bikinis, because of bleeding, and I don't like the way they rubbed up against my legs.

I wore granny panties with DD...this time around I am wearing hip huggers and LOVE them. They fit under belly, anything else is just not comfortable, and are just enough to give me the coverage I need. I am totally hooked...just not sure what I will wear after though...we'll see.

I never bought maternity underwear (and I gained 70 lbs by the end of my pg) -- I just switched to XL size granny undies. (I was able to wear my regular Jockey bikinis, although in a larger size, until 25 weeks or so.) I hate thongs anyway, so no help there!

Honestly, if I had my choice, it would be NO underwear during pregnancy. I hate them!

I've been able to wear my regular ones up until recently, so I bought some from Motherhood. I like them okay, I just haven't quite grown into them all the way yet and sometimes, they fall down. But, they're better than the ones I got from JCPenney. They crawled up my crack every time I sat down or rolled up under my belly.

I started wearing the boy short type undies when I was PG and I STILL wear them today...and occasionally thongs. The brand I LOVE is called "Barely There"...and they literally are barely there! I bought them at Kohl's. They are So, so great! The most comfortable undies I've ever worn!

I've been very fortunate and am still in my pre-preg underwear. I wear the VS bikinis (M). I tried the low cut ones and they don't have enough rear coverage, but the reg ones have been great! I love the way they come up in front, just below my belly. That way when my pants fall down in the front, no one can see my underwear. I haven't had the guts to try a thong on since I found out I was pregnant. Good for you that can!

I am so glad for people who are not afraid to ask things that I am afraid to ask. I am coming to the point where the undies are starting to get a bit small (though I am squeezing in to them the best I can) and I am grateful for the advice on this thread!!! :)

I wear Hanes low rise brief. They offer the coverage needed, but don't go up on the stomach - which I can not handle. I wore them with my twin pregnancy and just went and got some more a couple of weeks ago.

I use the motherhood thongs. I haven't had any trouble with them - although I do get some interesting wegies at times. But, that happens when I'm not preggo, too!

I have never been a fan of thongs, no matter what, so defintiely not an option for me. I have definitely preferred the big, over the belly style, especially now. I had started off size L in VS, then moved up to XL, before transitioning to Motherhood size L then XL. They are OK, but sometimes fall down and sometimes roll under my belly. I just orderd and received a 2-pack of Bravado size L/XL maternity briefs and those things are no joke! Stretchy, comfy -- and huge. But they fit and give good support. A little pricey, but I'm all about being comfortable at this point...

I have been wearing my VS boy-short undies that are barely making it through, but it was 1 less thing to have go out and buy. They are still pretty comfy-I know I should upgrade a size, but I am waiting until afer the babies are born to splurge on all new panties and bras!
