Lets make a deal

    Quick backstory, after trying to get my DDs to develop a 'lovey' relationship with any of the adorable blankies I have for them, Ana decided that she is attached to DH's 20 year old bandana hankies and Meara has no time for lovies. Anyway, since Ana's love affair for the hankies has developed there is an unspoken rule (of course because they don't speak!) that they are her's and Meara is not allowed to play with them.

    Yesterday morning DH was home with the girls and Ana was playing with the hankie and Meara was playing with a book. Ana decided she wanted Meara's book, but obviously Meara wasn't giving it up. Then Ana handed Meara her hankie and in return Meara handed Ana the book! Ana took the book to DH for him to read to her, while Meara strutted around the living room with the hankie draped around her neck.

    Who knew 14 months olds could make a deal with each other!

    Don't you love it! Mine do that, too. They "trade" toys. And if one is unhappy and crying, the other will often (not always) bring the toy they are playing with over to make the other happy. It's so sweet. And then I turn around and they're beating each other up!

    MIne are older now and they still make a deal but they call it lets trade!

    Sounds like a flat-out miracle to me....would your twins like to come to my house and teach my twins some technique? Nick could care less about any toy in the room UNTIL Joe decides to play with it. :rolleyes:
