Let them scream or help them roll?

    Hi girls,

    Quick question.

My babies have been rolling from back to tummy for the past month. They still have not figured out how to roll from tummy to back.
The second I put them down, they flip and in a while scream for me to come and flip the over.

Should I just ignore them and let them learn themselves? It's been a month and I feel like they don't try because the know mommy will do it...What would you do?

    Thanks for your help.

I would do lots of practicing with them during the day to try and help them learn how to do it on their own. if its just a one time roll and then they settle, I would probably keep doing it.

I helped mine. I always thought showing them how to do it would help them along somehow if they couldn't figure it out on their own.

    Both sort of,

Let them fuss some. It won't hurt them. You can help them roll, get there arms in the right position and legs. Help them roll, give them praise and put them right back on their tummies. Repetition is key as well as time. Don't worry too much, they'll get it eventually.

I always tended to help them roll back over if they fussed. I always thought it would help them learn if we kept "practicing" it. But letting them fuss for a bit won't hurt them either, and they might just figure it out on their own.
