    Hi!

    I'm 23wks today! YAY!

At 19wks I started to feel some fluttering, at 21wks it got more consistant but still not that strong. Last week they were pretty strong, both upper belly and lower belly...I could even see 'taps' on my belly.

This week it seems that it's gotten so quiet in there. I still feel some occasional flutters (like I did at 19 or 20wks)
I would know if something was really wrong, right? I'm feeling ok...nothing major going on...I exherted myself too much on Sunday and had to lay down in the afternoon, and had naseau Saturday night...but all in all I feel pretty good....do you think there is anything I should worry about?

I have tried drinking juice and laying on my left side, deep breathing and just relaxing, and that's when i feel the flutters.

Everything i'm reading sounds like I should feel like an olympic jumping board! Just seems weird of having a few days where my husband could really see them move to almost nothing...oh and at my last u/s 3wks ago my placenta was towards my back.

    Thanks for your help!!

I would have periods of less movement, too. Some days they'd be making me dizzy with all their kicks and other days I'd hardly feel them at all. If you're concerned, though, I would call your doc- if for nothing else than some reassurance- that's what they're there for!

they may have turned so that you can't feel them as good! mine did that a good bit! If I were you, I would just call your dr to see what they say it never hurts to call and it will put your mind at ease!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

Yay for 23 weeks!! :) I'll be there tomorrow with ya! :) I definitely have days where I feel more than others and it completely freaks me out. I mentioned this at my last DR appt and the nurse said that sometimes they do get in positions where you just don't feel them as much (facing the back, facing each other). She didn't seem overly concerned at all and from what I can see it doesn't get really "regular" major kicking until 25-28 weeks - correct me if I'm wrong...but that's kind of what I've been putting together and making myself feel better with. :) I know my neighbor (who had a singleton) said she didn't even feel him move or kick really at all until 25 weeks so that made me feel better too. I have to send back my Doppler early next week :( since we only paid for 3 months and we need the extra $$ right now SO what I've started doing on the days I'm freaked out is to take out a notebook and write down the time and location of any kick or flutter I feel. Flutter is still movement. I did this for an hour the other day (concentrated on nothing but that) and I almost filled up a whole page. Of course I think I had picked an active part of the day but that made me feel better. SO I decided to do that when I was worried and I've decided that if I don't feel them moving at least every couple hours (because they can be awfully quiet for awhile) then I'll call the DR's office. :) Don't know if that helped at all but I'm glad we're so close together!!! We can compare notes. Take care!

YEAH for 23 weeks. I love when I hot another full week pregnant with my twins, so I know what it is like to celebrate the mile stones!

It seems like my babies are also very active one day and then they settle down the next day. As long as I feel some movement throughout the day, I try not to worry! It depends on how active I am as well. If I have an inactive day myself, it seems like they are more active and visa versa.

My placenta is also posterior, so I can feel them more than ladies with an anterior placenta. If you are worried, definately talk to your doctor, but I think what you are describing sound very normal!

I hope that you are feeling better after having a icky weekend!

    Hang in there!

Hi...I had the same worries too cos on some days, they'd be so active I can see my tummy go oblong cos they'd kick different directions...then on some days, they're so quiet it worries me. I'd usually tap where they both are and see if they respond!! Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't...so don't worry, I'm sure they're just quietly asleep!!

Sounds about normal but if you are ever concerned you can call your doc. There are times now (and with the boys) that baby gets in a position where I don't feel her much. I also have a very tipped uterus so unless she's in just the right position, I don't feel much anyway. Right now, there is plenty of room to move about and change position. As you get farther, the movements will get stronger and then again near the end, the movements will slow because there just won't be the room.

If I've very active and moving around, I hardly feel baby (she's being rocked and likes that). If I'm not as active, I tend to feel baby more.
