I know every baby is differant but about how long did your kids go through the fussy, ear pulling stage before a tooth popped through? My girls arn't sleeping well, pulling on ears, chewing on EVERYTHING, but still no teeth. I can't even see any comming close. Can you always see them before they pop through? I just wish they would get here already!

Mine have never pulled on their ears. Have you ruled out an ear infection? I could see a few of them before they popped, but not all of them.

my girls started "teething" at 4 months. No teeth until 10 months, now they are coming in fast.

They never pulled on their ears. You might want to have checked for ear infection.

    Also, try teething tablets!

Mine don't pull their ears, but we STILL don't have any teeth and they started fussiness/chewing around 5 1/2 months. Any day now would be nice. [IMG]

I don't think it's a normal teething sign to be pulling on their ears...might want to get them checked at the pedi.

I have been wondering the same thing!

BTW-I found this on the American Baby website

"What if my baby is pulling on his ear? Is that due to teething?
It's often hard to tell why a baby is pulling at his ear. Sometimes it's because there's too much wax in there, or he could have an ear infection. Some babies pull on their ear when they're sleepy. I usually tell parents to look at what else is going on at the same time. If your baby is casually scratching or rubbing at his ear but seems happy and playful, with only intermittent bouts of fussiness, then the problem may simply be teething -- a reaction to the tingling of the tooth nerves. But if your child has a moderate to high fever (higher than 101 degrees), gets more irritable when lying down or being fed, and has recently had a cold with congestion, an ear infection is the more likely cause."

While ear pulling isn't a common sign of teething, it was a sign in our family. Bryce pulled on his ears quite a bit before his bottom teeth finally came in and we had him checked for an ear infection, and there was none. So, it could be one or the other in all reality.

Ours started teething at 3 mths and the first two finally came in for Bryce on Dec. 8th. at 7 months. We have yet to see Chloe's first teeth [IMG].

Well my girls are almost 2 now and are still teething and going through times of waking and drooling and fussiness b/c of it. However they don't pull on their ears either. They only have their top two canines left to come through (they are partially peeking through the skin now) and I can't wait for it to be over. I know, then come the two year molars..UGH!

They teeth F O R E V E R, or it seems that way at least! David teethed for about 2 months, Emma teethed for 6! It just depends on the child.
