So, my c-section was schedualed for 10-19. I was exactly 38weeks and 3 painful weeks pregnant, woke up early cause I wanted to get a shower before I had to drop off the kids and head out to the hospital. we had to be there by 7a for a 9a surgery time. I got up at 0515, got a shower and when drying off noticed a few drips down my leg. thought nothing of it..was still drying off. I had just put on my jeans and socks, stood up and my water broke.. that was the most dusgusting thing. with my 2 priors, it was broken for me so this was new. I was wet clear down to my socks. and at first, i thought i wet myself! lol. I woke up anthony and he told me to head out to the hospital now and he got up to get the kids up and drop off. My sister who lives right accross the street from me came and drove me out to the hosp. that was at 0530. I got out to the hosp and was put on the monitor and all the fun stuff. My ob came in to do a u/s to see the twins who up untill the prior friday were still breach, were now head down. So i was going to push and have them natural. I was 2 cm at 0700 was 3plus at 0800. contractions were comming at 1.5 min intervalls lasting for almost a full min so i had my epidoral. thank god. I could barely catch my breath before another one came. at 0900 am i was 6cm and at 0930 baby A started having decelerations in her heart rate. they called the dr but she stabilized. at 0945 I was 10 cm and was rolled back to the or to deliver. baby A who is now known as Anna Maria was born at 1006 am and was 5 lbs even and was 19 inches long. As soon as anna was born, baby B rotated and was once again breach and was trying to deliver. she presened foot first.. thank god my ob who delivered had a lot of experience with breach deliveries. She actually reached inside me and tried to rotate baby to get her to come head first but the baby would not turn( yes i was awake the entire time and since my epidoral did not numb me to my ribcage, i felt all of this) so baby B came into the world foot first, then her hips and body. Her other foot was all the way up by her ear and her arm was up above her head. Baby B now Lena ann came into the world at 1020 am also 5 lbs exactly but she was 18 1/4 inches long. compleatly against her will. lol. both girls needed NO nicu time, but because of there size, they were having a hard time keeping warm and the nicu came down with preemie clothes for the girls to wear to stay warm. otherwise, they were great! because of being small, every 2.5 hrs for the first 36 hrs, they had to go to the nursery to be weighed and have blood sugars done, but they remained good and we all came home together. Even now I have to be careful with them because they get cold very easily, and with being chilly and rainy (i live in pa outside of philadelphia) we will just stay in for a bit.
