Our twins are due this Friday, Leap Year Day!! I can't believe it's finally only days away! :a_smil09:
Ever since we set the c-section date, people have asked when we plan on celebrating their birthdays. I feel that we should celebrate their birthdays Feb 28 on off years, so that they're always "Feb" babies, and they know their b-days are always the last day of Feb. DH has some kind of "logical" explanantion as to why their b-day would correctly be celebrated March 1. Anyone have experience with this? When do you/someone you know celebrate? This has become such an issue!

Weird coincidence, I was just talking about this with a co-worker. her friend plans to have a C-section this friday. We joked about that kid won't get a birthday till he's four :D

You choose whatever day works for you.

Are you having a c-sec Friday?

I like your thinking on when to celebrate. I had a coworker born on leap day and she celebrated 2/28 also.

My BILs bday is on the 29th, and he celebrates on March 1st. His "reasoning" is that he wasn't born on the 28th, but the day after. :pardon: So we all go by his wishes and celebrate on the 1st.

    Good luck on Friday!! :D

My birthday is February 29. It's an unusual but special birthday to have. This year I am turning 8! When I was a kid, we celebrated on March 1. My parents picked that date because it was my grandmother's birthday (or something). Later, I tended to celebrate with friends on the 28th and family on the 1st. Now I do whatever is convenient, usually the 28th. Actually, to be honest, my own birthday has taken a real back seat because Evan and James were born on March 3 last year and now it's all about them (in a good way). Congrats. I hope your babies really do come on February 29. I've enjoyed having this unusual birthday. It's always a real conversation starter.

My best friend had her b/b twins on 2/29/04, 1 day after we left for the States. This year will be their first official birthday. She usually celebrated before, but it also depended on weekends, etc. and what worked easiest in terms of inviting people.
