Leakage

Okay this is a bit of an intimate question. My breasts have been somewhat leaking since early june. But this morning i woke up and the front of my nightgown was wet, so I changed and put in the nursing pads. They're not soaked but they're pretty wet. In June when I told my OB that I was leaking he was super excited, said that since my breasts are already starting to produce then that means that BFing will be easy for me, but he was hoping that didn't mean that delivery was going to be soon. Now that I'm leaking more it's got me a little worried. I have a f/u with him tomorrow (I'm on weekly appts now) but I'm wondering if anyone else went through this and did it become more when labor was about to start?

I leaked pretty good from 30+ weeks with my first child and he was born at 41 weeks. I typically have to keep breast pads on hand the end of my pregnancies.

 

I leaked all the time with the boys and like you it started midway through the pregnancy. I carried my babies to 37.5 and didn't have any problems with supply.

 

I started leaking earlier with my twins too, maybe 30-32 weeks or so. I never had any preterm labor. Or term labor either! They were born at 40 weeks.

With my third I didn't leak at all until after he was born. Then it was like a faucet!

 

When I was pregnant with our oldest I started leaking at 21weeks. When I say "leaking" I mean I soaked my shirt and often soaked my hubby if we were spooning or he was holding me. I delivered at 38weeks. I breastfed and made enough milk to feed a dozen or so kids and that's not an exaggeration. Going from an A cup to an E cup made me look bizarre, but I'm hoping I make as much milk when the twins are born as I did with my older 2.
