Right now, I use the Oxy Clean spray stain remover and I sit there and spray each article of clothing and bib, and it takes forever, especially now with the baby food stains. I am wondering if there is anything that anyone uses that works well where you do not have to pretreat the clothing and can just throw everything into the wash and add the detergent and stain remover and walla, stains are gone and clothes are clean.

I put a cup full of Biz in the washer with HOT water and throw in the laundry. Set it to soak, I think it does for 20 minutes or so (I think that's how long the setting is for on my mom's washer) and then wash them like normal. It's worked great for us.

For blow outs I put Dawn on the stain and let it soak till I do laundry and for food I use a Spray and Wash stick. They both work great!

I have a whole elaborate system. First, I wash a load of clothes everyday, that way nothing gets too set and we have a constant supply of clean clothes. Between my 2 older kids, my DH and my twinkies we have a lot of stained clothes so I use All Free and Clear Small and Mighty (mouthful!) and soak the clothes in the soak cycle, then wash in the normal cycle as usual with Clorox for colors. I have a front loader and the soak cycle works super well.

The best is Dreft stain remover spray. Biz bleach works well, too, if you make it into a paste.

Oxy Baby works great! You add a little powder to water and soak the clothes... it even got out a few set-in stains from stuff people had passed on to us! And the stuff we have bought stays looking new if we remember to treat before we wash.

with berry season here this summer, I have learned and found that pouring boiling water on the stain will actually wash it right out. No chemicals needed. put the shirt in the sink and pour boiling water on the strawberry colored shirt, and the berry stain goes away. Your shirt is all new again.

We use the Oxy Clean powder, and soak things in it (in a bucket) until I get around to doing laundry. It's kind of a pain, but less of a pain than spraying every stain individually. Sometimes it takes more than one soak, but I think I've been able to get most stains out so far. I should probably start adding some to the actual load in the washer, too, because they are coming home from daycare with all kinds of stains that I often don't see until the "clean" clothes come out of the dryer. <_< (You think baby food is bad -- just wait till they start with the finger paints! :D )
