I use All Free & Clear and have never had any problems.

Dreft or any other baby laundry detergent is also good.

    Seventh Generation. It's the purest.

I started with Dreft for the babies, decided to try Tide over the weekend. Joseph broke out in a rash today...back to Dreft...as a matter of fact, my third load of baby clothes today (all of the ones I washed over the weekend) is in the dryer.

We use Dreft and it works well. I haven't had any problems and no rashes.

I use Tide, I started out using Dreft with my girls and my doctor told me to switch to Tide and have been using ever since and started with Tide with my son. He told me to switch because Kira was showing signs of eczima and he said something in the Dreft is most likely drying out her skin (I can't remember what it was though) and after I switched her skin wasn't as bad.

I would start off with Dreft, their skin can be SO sensitive in the beginning.
After the first month we switched to All Baby. Since then their clothes have been washed in a few different dye-free/scent free detergents and no problems. A few times even in regular Tide with no reactions.

I started out with Dreft (but it's expensive!) and no dryer sheets. They are 7 months old now, and, since the Dreft is so expensive, I am going to try to switch to All Free and Clear when we run out of this container of Dreft. I just tried Bounce Free dryer sheets for the first time last week and have had no problems. I finally had to break down and use dryer sheets b/c the static was out of control.

I use Dreft - I use Tide Free on our clothes and without thinking last week - I washed a load of baby clothes in it and we did not have
    any problems!!

I have been using Dreft for all baby clothes. We use Tide Free for our clothes and as soon as this Dreft runs out I'm going to try the Tide Free. It will just make things easier. Good luck to you!

I started off with Dreft but it was rediculously expensive and I was doing a WHOLE LOT A luandry in the beginning (actually, I still do a baby load every other day or so). Then we switched to Baby All which was a little bit cheaper but still pretty pricey. Then I read somewhere that "baby detergent" isn't really necessary (but don't tell that to the baby detergent makers) it's just one of those baby gimmics to rip mommies off. So then we switched to regular All Clear and Free. We used that for a while and have just recently switched to regular scented detergent. I was tired of their clothes not having that yummy smell. They have been absolutely fine with it. We also use snuggle dryer sheets (which is not recommended for the first few months).

I think for the first couple of months, any detergent that is free of dye and perfumes is fine. Don't get suckered into the pricey "baby detergents." It's a rip off. IMO anyway. Go with what you are comfortable with.

If it helps at all, one of my brothers is a pedi and we had the same discussion. He said (which echos a lot of PP) to make things easy and wash everyone's in the same detergent. It's what they get used to. He rec ALL Free and Clear and Bounce Free. We've used it from the start and never had any problems. The baby ones are just too expensive - save your money for diapers!!

Seventh Generaton for the whole family - all natural, works great, actually better, than anything else I've ever tried.

I started off using Dreft, but, I have been adding a little bit of Tide to every load of their laundry along with the Dreft just to "break them in to it". We also have always used Bounce dryer sheets with no problem. I kind of like the sound of the Seventh Generation stuff. I might give that a try!

I washed everything in Dreft from the begining (before they were born). I used it until they were about 2 mo. Switced to All Free and clear which is what the family uses; no problems.

I used Dreft but now I use the same soap that I use for their clothes. Also Costco sells the Dreft and it's a little cheaper.

Ok I guess I'm in the minority, I've been using our regular detergent (Tide) since they were born. We do all of our laundry together. I did have some dreft, but never even opened it. We've haven't had any problems so far. The only thing I haven't yet used are dryer sheets.

I started using Dreft or All Baby and after a few months decided to wash their clothes in the same detergent I use for ours. I generally use All (Spring Rain, I think) and we have not had any problems. I also use the All or Snuggle regular dryer sheets. I think we are lucky that our girls don't have very sensitive skin....
