I have bought quite a few baby clothes over the last couple of months. I want to wash them and keep them ready as earlyas I can.
Is there any specific laundry detergent to use for baby clothes? What did you all use?

Anything that doesn't have dyes and scent, like All Free and Clear, or I use the Costco/Kirkland brand.

I have used seventh generation, ecover, arm & hammer free and clear, and any of the other detergents that are free of dyes, fragrances and are environmentally friendly. I figure if they are biodegradable and "toxin" free than they are gentle enough to be against the babies skin. I usually buy whatever is on sale, now that everyone is going green it is much more economical. If you contact a lot of those companies also and tell them you are having twins they will send you coupons that are otherwise difficult to find. Good luck. Melanie

Dreft is pricey. I used All Baby with my twins.

I use Tide, but anything that is fragrance free and dye free is good too. My doctor recommended Tide because one of my girls had a skin problem. He said don't use Dreft because it still had something in it that would be rough on her skin.

With my 4 yo I washed all of his in Dreft.
With the twins I just washed them with ours and I used reg detergent but then when we got our front loader started getting the HE detergent that is scent and perfume free.

With our first DS, it was all about the baby Dreft. Now that I am a mom of three, it is Tide and their laundry is thrown in with ours.

I use All Free and Clear for all our clothes. That way I don't have to worry about having different detergent for my husband and I.

We use Tide free, but we have skin issues with the twins, and that's what our pedi. recommended.

Most often the cheapest "free" detergent you can find is your best bet. Like a store brand that is free of dyes, etc. They have less chemicals and are gentler. We've been using Cheer Free on my son's clothes since he was an infant and I love it. I don't buy the generic because my skin is super sensitive (like his) and this works for us... but I've read many times - don't waste your money on baby laundry detergent. Generic "Free" is a GREAT choice!
