last appt was at 6 mo next one not until 10 mo?

I had scheduled my appt's for the whole year when they were 2 weeks old..I found out somehow they ended up not having their next appt until Sept (they will be 10 months) and their last one was when they were 6 months...I called today thinking I should try and get it changed but the nurse said since they are not getting 9 month shots that it doesn't matter..is this correct? I saw that others went for 9 month checkups.....

 

If they aren't in need of shots and aren't having low weight issues I don't see a problem in witing a month for a well child check up.

 

it sounds like they'll still be getting the same check-up, just a few weeks later. I wouldn't be alarmed by it

 

We didn't have our 6 month check up until they were 7 months because they were sick when they were supposed to get their shots at the 6 month appt. It was no problem. Don't panic - but, if you still want to panic, call your doctor and try to change the appointment to an earlier date - do what you feel is best!!

My guys did not get shots at 9 months. They will at 12 months though. I think it's fine if your pedi says its ok.

 

My doctor doesn't see them from 6 mos until a year, since there are no shots. If I have any concerns or problems she will see them, of course, but otherwise we wait until a year. I just think of it as a good thing, it means they are healthy babies & she isn't concerned about anything.

 

our 9 mo appt was at 10.5 mos and our 12 mo apt will be at 13.5 mos (nearly) pedi's not concerned...

my kids got a shot at 9 mos - I think it was the last meningitis shot...

 

We just had our nine month appointment at their ten month date. There was no problem; just weight/measurements and a general checkup. I did make sure their one year check up was a day or so near their birthday.

 

Last time our girls went to see the pedi was at 6 mos and don't return until they're a year old at the beginng of September
when they get the rest of their shots.. They say it's okay, but if there's anything wrong before then, they willd definitely see
them.. don't worry.. as long as your babies are healthy..

ditto. some doctors do a 9 mo especially if there are developmental issues, but a lot don't see them again till 1 year (when their next immunizations are due). no worries!
