Landed Myself in the Hospital with Pancreatitis

    I came in Thursday evening with abdominal pains, thinking it was just gas. Two hours later and some bloodwork panels, I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. They admitted me and I've now been here two nights. My pain is now gone, and bloodwork continues to improve. They let me have a liquid diet last night, and solids this morning - so I'm hoping they may be willing to discharge me this afternoon.

    We don't know what caused it, but I know I was really scared Thursday night - the tests they ordered and the on-call OB was really freaking me out. I've been having bloodwork every 2 hours, blood sugar checks every hour, insulin at times, and IV on sugar water. My veins are difficult to begin with, and now collapsed, perforated, and just shot. I am so ready to go home!!!

    The babies are fine, getting their heartbeats on doppler every 4 hours - and they are active. Thank goodness this didn't harm them...

    Oh wow how scary. I am so glad you are doing better and the babies are doing fine.

    Oh my gosh!! So sorry to hear that you are having to go through all that :hug:
    thankfully the little ones are doing great though :good:
