Labor?!

I went in today for an NST and although I've been having contractions they are never consistant/regular... The nurse came in to check on me and she said I was having contractions every 16 min. I felt them everytime and since I have been home they have been coming at 15 min. intervals..So I was wondering if this could be labor or if it could be a false alarm..When should I go to the hospital? I have a scheduled C-Section for the 19th and they are going to do a C-Section if I go into labor on my own.. I also noticed that pieces of my mucus plug are coming out.. Any suggestions??

I would call you doctor too. If your mucus plug is coming out then I imagine it won't be long.. I was 36 weeks with my girls when I went into labor.. good luck!

 

I have the exact same concerns. I'm at the end of my 35th week and for the past few nights, I've been contracting every 20 minutes or so for hours and so far nothing. I asked the doctor about it and he said if they come every 2 minutes, then I need to call, although I think I'd call sooner than that. The fact that they remaine 20 minutes apart and never get more intense of closer together has been reassuring.

Not sure about the mucus plug but I think it can come out without anything being imminent. Never had it come out with my first!

UPDATE: Even though the contractions continued through the night they never got closer nor did they get more intense. I called Labor and Delivery and they said that it was false labor! :cry: But I still should keep track of them and if they continue to get closer to just come in..Man I really thought last night was it! Thanks everyone for your help!!
