I'm a little over 35 weeks and can't stop thinking about going into labor. I've been in pain for a while now as far as pelvic pressure is concerned. Tonight I feel as if one of the twins is scratching their way out. I never went into labor on my own with my dd and had to be induced, so I don't even know what signs to look for. Is there an order to them? I can't tell if I'm having contractions, or if it is just the babies moving around that causes the tightness. Do I feel crampy? Yes, at times and I've also started feeling nauseous as well. I have a scheduled c-section for 38 weeks, but of course it could be moved up if need be.

I've read all there is to read about signs of labor, but are they different for twins? Would my water break before I lost my mucous plug or would it automatically be the normal mucous plug, then my water could break? As the end nears, I find myself freaking out and worrying non stop that I'm going to go into labor at any minute.

I have an appointment Monday, and am wanting it to hurry up and get here.

I felt exactly the same way you did ~ SO nervous about going into labor before my c-section date!!
I don't have any great advice as I didn't end up going into labor before having my c/s, but wanted to send a :hug99: your way :)
Try to relax as best you can & your Monday appt. will be here before you know it!
    Hang in there!!

Congrats for making it to 35 weeks and going strong. I think its hard to say because I think labor and how it progresses can be very individualized with each pregnancy. I would say that if you are contracting, you will know it....its much stronger than the babies moving around. I lost my mucous plug at 25 weeks and didn't deliver until 28, so I don't think that is a big indicator of impending birth either.

Just listen to your body. You will know when its time. GL at your appointment on Monday!! Let us know how it goes!! :hug99:

I worried about the same thing with the twins. I felt SO much more pressure than I ever did with any of my singletons!! It really felt like Addison (babyA) was just going to fall out!I only dialated to a 1 with them and at our next visit they told me I wasn't dialated at all so ???????. I made it to our c-section date at 38.4 weeks. With my boys I knew I was in labor because I bled. that was my only real indicator. my contractions kind of got regular then not so - w/ ds#3 they even stopped once we got in the car to go to the hospital but because I was bleeding I knew something was up!

Thanks ladies. It helps to know I'm not the only one who has experienced these same feelings.

Nothing can ever compare to a multiples pregnancy, that is for sure!
