Labor stopped !

Just to give you guys an update. I started having regular contractions last night and went to L&D. At 35 weeks exactly I was borderline for them trying to stop me, but they decided to give it a shot anyway to keep the babies in there a little bit longer.

I think it's called Bretacy...something, the drug they gave me, but oh boy the side affects. I felt like I was running a marathon all night, my heart rate was almost equal to the babies.

Anyway, it worked and the contractions teetered out a few hours later and since the pre-e is stable and the babies seem fine I was allowed to go home and try to get some rest.

I just woke up, and I'm feeling the twinges again, so we'll see what happens. They won't try to stop me again anyway so please ladies keep your fingers crossed for me. Something tells me it won't be long now.

 

Those babies are already keeping you on your toes! It sounds like a very eventful night. Good luck over the next little while. I hope you can keep cooking them, but if they're determined to make their debut--then I'm sure they will do great!

congrats on keeping them in a little longer. I know what you mean about the meds, they are awful. I just had them over the weekend and felt like my heart was going to beat right out of my chest. I couldn't lay still and I felt like I couldn't breath. Hang in there just a little longer. Good Luck I'll be waiting on your birth story shortly.
