Thanks for all your well wishes and name help.
Long night with several hours where it didn't look like the contractions would stop, but they finally chilled out.
So I am on bedrest at the hospital for the time being, getting 2nd steriod injection tonight, they may let me do bedrest at home, may keep me here until 34 weeks. Cervix still 2-3 and 60% effaced so no major changes.
My DH thinks his job is to veto name choices, ugh! I may have to pull rank and just decide so I can have one more thing taken care off and off the list!
Hope I will stay on this board for several more weeks!!

I know it sucks to be in the hospital, but please take it really easy!! :hug99: I'm glad to hear you are still preggers too!!

My DH named DS and I named DD. We had some veto power, but it all worked out and didn't have to use it at all! Good luck!! :hug99:

My dh is the same way about names...that's why I've always started early... I'll read him list after list after list of names.... finally he might hear one where he gives a half hearted, "yeah I guess that one's okay." GRRRRRR... I get so irritated in the naming process... he's never been super crazy about my girl names..but he'll offer me choices like "Nina" for a girl... I'm like ????!!!! The boy names have been easier to come up with... the only name that he's ever suggested on his own was my ds' name, Judah, and that was amazingly already on my short list with no prior communication between us about it... I was pestering him about a boy name last fall before I was even pg...so I think we've agreed on Caleb for another boy..but he won't commit to the official name agreements until he knows for sure what we are having... I can't get him to commit to one girl name AND one boy name.. he wants to know, so he doesn't have to think about at least one of those genders... Oh yeah...we went through quite a process when trying to come up with the twins' names...thank God we knew at 16 weeks what we were having, so that I didn't have to search for 2 girl names and 2 boy names, just in case!!

Glad to hear you're still prego!!!

We didn't have too big of a problem between the two of us coming up with names, it was our families that kept suggesting names we didn't like! DH is Michael Brian II and so MIL wanted us to name the boy Michael Brian III or Brian something. I automatically vetoed Brian because of personal reasons from my childhood. We ended up with Peyton Frederick. I love the name Peyton and Frederick is my dad's middle name. We picked our girl name before our boy name. We named Alexis Nichole the night before we found out her condition. Theres really no story behind her name I just love those names!

way to hang in there!! i wish *i* would have been able to pull rank with the naming, but when i tried, dh pulled rank and it actually turned into an argument and backfired on me.....and i lost LOL well, maybe it was just a peace offering ;) ....but you have hospital leverage so it may work for you!!

Here`s my name story: There was never any question as to what we would name 1 boy or 2 boys, both picked out by him after his dad and grandfathers....but the girl names--i had always dreamed of 2 names and he vetoed them right away (we're talking my first choice--emma--before we were even married and my 2nd--amelia--as soon as we were pg) so i made up a list and he never cooperated, he wanted to use my name (sandra) and was stuck on that....so we decided on alessandra as a compromise (but she will be Ally to the world!!)

I proceeded to decorate the nursery with the names on the wall, and make shower decorations and souvenirs with the babies' names, little labels for hospital visitors, my mother got them engraved gold jewelry, all with the agreed upon names...and then 3 weeks ago, he hits me with: do you WANT to name her emma? WHAT WAS HE THINKING???? :fool: but now ally is ally (not to mention all the stuff i already did) and i just can't switch back!! so sad, but we'll have to wait for the next one LOL!

anyway back to you, good luck with the names and best wishes for those babes to stay put!!!

Yay, so happy to hear you're still preggo! My DH was funny about names, we talked about it since we found out the genders and never could decide. I knew all along what I wanted. However, the day I was admitted we settled on names and they were the very first names we had started with. Good luck staying preggo and picking names.
