I called my dr today, of course at 4:30 because I always think things will get better. I have been having cramy feelings for about a week and then I have just not felt well since my sinus infections. Last night we had our infant CPR class and I was just really tired. When I got home we were talking with our sitter (my best friends husband stayed with our son) and I started getting these spots in my eyes and just couldn't think straight and get out what I wanted to say. This feeling did eventually dissipate and then I started getting numb in my face and hands so I thought great another migraine. The headache started and it just continued to go downhill. I called L&D last night and told them my symptoms, they told me to go to the ER if I felt I needed to come in. My DH recommended I eat something since we ate dinner early and hadn't eatten anything since. I started to feel a little better after I ate so I went to bed. I woke up this morning and still had a bad headache, nausea, and was really tired. I got up before I wanted to because I was supposed to go with my friend who is hosting my shower to look at party supplies. I showered and was getting ready still feeling awful and debated about calling her. She ended up calling me because it was snowing this morning and she wanted to see if I still wanted to go. I told her the snow didn't bother me but I explained to her the whole migraine thing so we rescheduled. So I ate part of my breakfast and relaxed as much as I could, my son was testing the waters big time today. Throughout the day my stomach had continued to get hard and I could feel where the babies were and I just didn't feel well, dizzy, nauseau, headache, chills and hot flashes, etc. So I called my dr. and explained everything, the nurse said that I must have picked up a virus and would ask the dr what he wanted me to do. She called back and said he wanted me to go to the hospital and get an NST done, I wish I had called earlier because my dr isn't on call tonight. So we went in and got connected to the heartrate monitors and the contraction machine. They took my blood pressure which was 113/55 and the babies heartrates were wonderful, they actually cooperated and she found them right away. I had to push the button every time they moved also. At first I didn't feel much, but I heard a lot on the monitor, then they really started moving. Their heartrates were all over the place, my DH was so cute, he would worry when they got high and would try to soothe the babies. The second to last BP set off an alarm because it was 108/45, but no one came in. Is this normal or too low? Anyway, the stomach hardening stopped when I was laying down so no contractions were registering (good thing). The dr on call came in and talked to me about what was going on and did an internal. He was not very gentle, it actually really hurt. It is the first time I have had any blood after, which is normal, but usually doesn't happen. My cervix is still closed, hard, and high, yeah!! So he believed that what I was feeling was my migraines and reflux. So I am to drink lots, rest, take Tylenol and Zantac. I have my dr apt on Tuesday so we will see if this virus, sinus, migraine thing goes away by then. That was our second time in L&D for nothing, but I feel better knowing that the babies are ok. I still feel awful, but I hope it will soon be better.

I'm glad everything went well for you. I went for the first time yesterday because the babies didn't seem to be moving as much as usual and everything turned out fine also. Makes me feel silly, but I also felt better. So that makes it all worth while, right?

I am glad everything went well for both of you. We can't be too careful, right?

I'm glad everything worked out well for you too. It is scary when the dr says to go, but yes, I feel silly when it turns out to be nothing. I think I would feel sillier if I didn't and there was a problem. It is definitely all worth it in the end. I would go back ten times if it meant the babies came out healthy and happy. Thank you, it is such a relief.

That's right. I think my dr's main concern is that I am sick and he wanted to make sure the babies were tolerating it well. Unfortunately my dr wasn't on call which made it hard to explain why I was there. It is such a relief that they are ok. Thank you.

Thank you, I will hope to eventually get rid of whatever this is that I have had. I really hope I didn't catch the flu or something on top of the sinus infections. I am so happy that the babies are alright through the whole thing. I don't know what I would do if they weren't.

My bp is consistantly 90/50 - some people have low bp....no worries. Since I am at the hospital - DAY 19 - I have been checked every 8 hours for bp readings....Also the babies are on the monitors constantly and I see their readings and I know I am in a safe environment for them. I had contractions again last night and more turb. was given. I think out of the 19 days I have lived here.....I have had 8 days of consisitant contractions...I think these girls want to get out. glad you are feeling a little better....twin pregnancies are rough

Sorry things are still hairy. I guess they will be or you wouldn't have to stay there, huh? I am glad they have been able to stop the contractions though, they need to stay put for those last few weeks. Thank you and I hope things calm down for you too.
