Our girls' 2nd birthday is at the end of October. We want to buy them a playhouse (indoor/outdoor) for their birthday and a kitchen for Christmas. What ones do you recommend?

We just saw this playhouse online:

It is the Little Tikes Interactive Playhouse. The price doesn't seem to bad. We will keep it indoors for this winter and then move it outdoors next winter. By the picture though, I can't tell if the back is open or if the house has 4 walls (which is what we want).

As for a kitchen, this one is on sale for half price:

Any opinions of either of the above OR recommendations on other ones?

    Thanks!

We don't have either of those so I have no comments on them. Though that kitchen looks pretty cool.
We have this playhouse, and my kids LOVE it. :good: Plus the price is pretty good compared to other playhouses and they both have plenty of room in there.
As for the kitchen, this is the one I got my two. Again, they love it. Good luck and have fun picking them out!

We don't have either of them but the kitchen look cute! We were in luck as we purchased our Step2 Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen (the biggest one) through a craiglist for $100. We ordered new decal stickers and replaced it. They look brand new now!

Also we got lucky w/another outdoor play through our craiglist for $120. Everything was in excellent condition. Although we don't have a play house for outdoor. This is far as we have since they already have the bigger slide/water & sand box (all from Step 2).

This is what we have --

And this what we got for outdoor play --

I think any play house will be fun as much as any play kitchen too. I don't think your twins' will know any different in size except to play. :)

Both look nice, though I second Craigslist (or even local pick up Ebay)- we've bought a few nice things there (water table, pop up tent)

We got a playhouse for 50$ at our Moms sale and it was similiar to that one, but older (though in great shape). We can use it indoor/outdoor.

    Have you tried local sales??

Kitchens will be on sale a lot for the holidays, I woudl stay w/ Step2 or Little Tikes type (Kidco makes a nice wooden one). The no name plastics tend to break down(we got a cheap plastic one and it tipped easily and did not shut drawers right- then we got a step 2 one and I dont think they could tip it if they wanted too) - and you may need to upgrade at some point.

We have the same Step 2 playhouse that Liz posted and my kids also love it. It's really cute, the price is great, and I like that it has low walls so you can see what's going on in there (i.e., who's beating up who)

I ended up going with a bit "cheaper" play kitchen. At the time it was on sale for $29.99 so you really couldn't beat the price. It's almost identical to this one, just a different color:

I have the same playhouse that Liz has also and my kids love it. :)

We haven't gotten a kitchen yet (I suspect it will be the big Christmas gift this year).

We also have the same playhouse and just love, love it!!! Very durable and the kitchen table inside is removable...which we removed for a while b/c they used it to assist them in standing on the little seats...They play in this thing all day in and out, etc... HTH

My children received this Step 2 LifeStyle Delux Kitchen for their 2nd birthday. It's great because they are both able to play at the same time without getting in the other's way too much. Of course there are times when they both want to play with the microwave (or something else) . . . that's just part of having twins!
