Maybe I am just a paranoid wreck, but for several hours this morning I have been feeling menstrual-like cramps, strong enough that I would want to take advil/heat pad if it was just a period coming. So I drank 1L of water and have been sitting on the couch for the past 3 hrs but they are still there and maybe more intense. Just wondering if anyone else has had this or any advice?? I am not sure if yesterday had anything to do with this, I moved DD room yesterday, the bed, the dressers, hung new shades/curtains, maybe I just overdid it, my back certainly thinks so.
BTW the babies have been moving like normal

I would definitely call your Dr ASAP just to be safe. Peace of mind can really go a long way. GL!!

I agree with both of you. Probably better getting it checked out just for your own piece of mind. Good luck i hope everything is ok x

I think it could be from moving the room and that's all the more reason to call.
Come back and let us know how it goes though, kay?

DEFINTELY CALL! You are to call if you have cramps for one hour after drinking water and laying down. I have this problem on and off and am dilated to 1 cm and effacement of 70%. You should call if you have these symptoms for an hour: premenstral cramps, low back pain, pelvic pressure, vaginal discharge that is not normal, feeling not well. These are typical symptoms of preterm labor. check out this website http://www.twinservices.org/articles/preve...gpremature.html
or google a sample of what to expect when expecting twins book. you can read pages of it that describes preterm labor. its better to be safe than sorry

    Good luck!

I started getting my menstral cramps over Easter weekend, and I delivered at 37.6 weeks on May 20th, so I must have been about 30ish weeks. I went called in, was told to rest for the weekend, and I would have them off and on. I called in on Monday and got my OB who had me hooked up to the contractions machine (forget what it's called). No consistent contractions. I had my "PMS cramps" for the rest of my pregnancy then. I was quite annoyed because isn't that the real reason why we get pregnant - to not have PMS symptoms??? :p FWIW, I had a healthy, uneventful pregnancy and delivery, so my cramps turned out to be nothing I guess.

I am sitting here in L/D waiting for my FFN to come back, so far no contractions and babies moving well and of course despite having my urine checked and told it was clean on monday, I somehow have a UTI now. I have never had one before and not having any symptoms but I feel stupid but relieved if this is all thats wrong. So soon we shall found out if I get to go home or transferred to a higher care hospital..

Spent the night in L/D, just as I was getting ready to leave, the nurse wanted to check to see if I was dilated, and to her I was between a 1-2, so several hrs later(they were really busy, they had like 14 women pushing) The on-call doc comes and wants to check me, he thinks I am maybe just a one but wants another opinion, meanwhile I am thinking anyone else want a go down there!!!! So the MW on-call checks me and thinks I am a one. But since I am not contracting and babies are happy I get to go home and sit on my butt -yeah!!! Today I haven't had the crampy feeling but I haven't been up much either, and I missed work today, so much for using paid leave for after I have the babies....Just glad I get to keep these guys in here for a while longer

If you´re already 1 cm dilated try to rest as much as you can to keep those babies cooking. Did the l/d Dr. order bed rest???
