I know that my twins won't care whether or not they have a big exciting party or not, but I do! Their 2nd birthday is in August, and in Arizona, it is just entirely too hot in August to do anything outside. They are also too young to have a party at BounceU or Chuck E Cheese or some place like that. So it looks like we destined to just have another boring party at our house! Grrrrr. I haven't decided on a theme yet, but I was thinking football/cheerleader, Dora/Diego, Thing 1/Thing 2, etc. Anyone have any ideas that I might not be thinking of to make the party more fun?

I went to a birthday party for a 2 year old not too long ago. It was at a Bounce House place. The birthday girl had a fantastic time. I don't think they are too young!

We're doing our party the 4th of July weekend so it will be hot here too. I went to a 2nd birthday party a few weeks ago where the parents set up one of these: http://www.target.com/29634-Banzai-Sidewin...;rh=&page=1

You might be able to find something like this (maybe smaller) to set up for the party. The 2 year old did great climbing on it, but my nearly 2 year olds just splashed in the pool part.

They're not too young for BounceU. We went to a second birthday party there in March, so my girls were 22 months old. It was a blast. The older kids (sisters, brothers, cousins) could all play independently and the two year olds bounced with their parents. Seriously, it was the best little kid birthday party I've ever attended.

We also live in Arizona and had a 2nd birthday for our boys on Saturday at Pump it Up (like Bounce U) and it was the BEST party! It was so much fun for every kid there - from age 2 to 18. We only had about 8 kids so that was nice, but most of the adults got in, too. As long as you are physically willing to run around with them in the bouncy equipment, I think you would have a fantastic time there. I was exhausted by the end of the party but everyone loved it, and I have such happy, fond memories!

I agree that 2 is not too young for a party at a bounce place. There is nothing wrong with having parties at home too, that's all we have done for the twins so far, even at age 3, they had a great time at their b-day party at home. :)

My only experience with a bounce house in recent years was at a 2-year old birthday party in march. my babies were 9-months at the time and sat in my lap and seemed to like it! we went to a 1-year old bday party this past weekend and they had a small one set up for the babies. DS was in hysterical giggles in it! go for it!
