How do I keep my boys on their backs all night? This last week I have found them on their tummies everytime I check on them! I always put them on their backs but now they are rolling both ways they prefer their tummies. They both have reflux so I'm terrified of SIDS already. Any suggestions?

You really can't do much . Once they start rolling and holding their heads up the risk of sids has already decreased. All you can do is put them on their backs when you lay them down. The only thing you could try is sleep positioners, they won't be able to roll over the side of them yet. I use sleep positioners with my kids until they are about 4-6 months old :)

I used sleep positioners from about 3-5 months because they could really roll then.. I finally gave up and let them sleep on their tummies at our doctor's reassurance, plus the advice of the ladies here.

Let me tell you, they sleep MUCH better when its how THEY want to sleep and they're not as crabby during the day. ;)

    *hug* Try the positioners. :D

Once they were strong enough to roll themselves to their tummy, I just left them that way. :pardon:

This started happening to us right before our 4 mo WBV. Our pediatrician said that if they are rolling over to their tummies, that it's okay and to leave them be. I was losing a lot of sleep worrying and going in and rolling them onto their backs. I do think they sleep better on their tummies. :FIFblush:

We also left them on their bellies once they could roll over. I did find that the swaddle kept them on their backs longer. They just scooted off the sleep positioners we had once they could move. Our pediatrician also said the SIDS risk was much less once they could roll over on their own.

Ditto! Once they got used being on their tummies (never did like tummy time), they've slept great on their tummies. They should be fine!
