How long does it take for it to kick in? Our pediatrician recommended that we try that with Isaac for constipation issues. We have been using 1 tbsp in 2 6 oz bottles per day for about 3-4 days now. It seems like it is a little easier for him to go at times but his stools are all still formed, soft but formed.

The pediatrician said we could increase/decrease the amount if it didn't seem to be working or worked to well. What do you think...should I increase the amount by a 1/2 tbsp and see what happens or should I give it a couple more days?

Also, we are using the light syrup...has anyone had any more success with the dark?

    Thanks,
    Megan

It has to be the dark. The light won't work. It worked for us in about 8 hours from the dose in the bottle. I think I was using a teaspoon in 2 bottles and that did the trick.

As long as they are soft, I would say that what you are doing is fine. We had to do that with our one twin. If you put too much Kayro in, it creates a mess.

We use the light and it works fine for my boys.

We use it for my DD's, mostly when they were younger. We always used the light and it worked. We started about the dose you are on for a 4oz bottle.

Our pedi recommended that we use the dark karo syrup. However, it didn't really work for us. Prune juice works wonders for my one DD who has constipation issues.

We used the dark and it worked for us. I used 1 teaspoon for every 3 ounces.

I know peds still recommend this for some reason, but even the Karo company on their site warns against it for a similar reason you don't give babies honey. I would suggest using prunes.
