Just wondering...

Do you go thru in a day/week? It seems like it almost costs more that formula! (I know its cheaper.. But Geesh) We go thru about .5 gallons in a day. and i only give them milk 2 times a day and some during the nite.. (Still waking once <_<)

 

We go through an average of 6 gallons a week. We actually ration it out because it can get so expensive. They each have a cup (8 to 10oz) at breakfast and dinner. If they have cereal for breakfast, they can have it with milk in it OR to drink with the cereal dry, not both. Some weeks we go through more if we cook alot with it. If we didn't pay attention to how much we're using, we can easily go through 8 - 10 gallons a week.

 

3 gallons for us but that is because we all drink the same milk. The girls get it 2x a day breakfast and dinner and then I have it in cereal in the am and J usually has a glass in the evening.

 

We go through about 14 litres a week which is about 3.5 gallons I think :huh:

 

We're transitioning to milk from formula right now so we go through about 1/2 gallon a day also. To add to the cost, our dr. wants us to add a package of Carnation Instant Breakfast to every 8 oz so the boys get more calories. I go through a box every two days! Part of me wishes we were still on all formula! It would be so much easier!

 

We go through about 1.5 gallons per week.

 

We go thru about 3 gallons a week, but I use their (whole) milk to cook with and I also use it in my cereal.

About 5 to 6 gallons a week here. The girlies love their milk and get it at every meal. It seems like I'm always going to the store to pick up another couple of gallons of milk for them.

 

We go through 4 gallons of milk (all same %) a week. :shok: That is amazing!

 

We buy the kids seperate organic milk that comes in 1/2 gallons. We go through about 4-5 a week and at least a gallon of 2% for dh and I.

 

Emilie and Trevor drink 2% milk and they go through 2 gallons of milk a week. The rest of us drink 1% milk and we go through about 1.5 gallons of milk a week. So all together we go through 3.5-4 gallons of milk a week. I get our milk at Costco and get 2 gallons of each of them, each time I go.

 

We buy 1 gallon of milk every 2-3 days for our DD and DS. So I guess that's about 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 gallons a week.

 

Wow! You all drink a lot of milk! We go through 2 gallons of week for two kids and two adults. We all drink the same milk -- fat free.

 

We go through 6-7 gallons a week, for our family of 4. We love our milk around here.

I get it for $2.59/gallon at Costco.

 

I don't keep track, in terms of gallons....but the little ones go through 30 to 40 oz. a day of whole milk combined, and Nadia, DH and I only consume maybe 16 oz. of 2% per day combined....so whatever that adds up to!

I used to buy skim for DH and me, but I got tired of buying three different kinds of milk...I'm not ready to switch Nadia to skim yet.

i think about 2 gallons per kid? Becca is on lactose free...so it's pain (and hers is so expensive!). They get 3 sippy cups per day, one after breakfast, one before nap and one before bed.

I try to make the morning sippy a 1/2 cup...so i would guess they drink around 20 ounces, sometimes more sometimes less.

 

2 gallons lasts us 4 days with the twins. So we go through less than 4 gallons in a week. I get organic whole milk for them. We don't really drink milk much (mom and dad), so if I have to cook with milk I just use a bit of theirs.

I haven't ever counted how many we go through a week but I would guess 5-6. The boys get milk with every meal, and have water (sometimes with a little juicy juice in it) while they play around the house or outside.
It seems like we are ALWAYS running to the store to get milk! You would think we would get the hint that we use a lot more now and just buy a few gallons at at time!

 

gallon in my house and half gallon at grandmas - some weeks its 2 gallons if I'm working nights and home with them more (as opposed to going to daycare and grandmas)...

My kids all just have it once at breakfast. once in a while they may ask for it again later but not often.

We do eat a lot of cheese and yogurt, pudding, etc. . . though.
