...babies will prove to you that you haven't baby-proofed anywhere near well enough! it seems like every day they're figuring out some new way to get into or onto something. holy mackerel. the fire place mantle is the new favorite pull up spot & i hadn't even looked at it before today. oops! Riley pulled the fireplace tools over on herself. she's fine - but it really scared her. then i found her with a mouth full of half burned wood. ugh. now Danika's trying to climb on top of it.

why did evolution think it was a good idea to let them develop their motor skills before their comprehension skills? seems dangerous to me. ;)

:rotflmbo: What a great question! I was so thankful we don't have a fireplace!! Just getting all the cords out of their reach was exhausting enough!

Ha! This is so true- I've never considered this before but you're absolutely right! Talk about putting the cart before the horse!! :)

So true! DD's pretty tame, but we're going to have to make a trip to the emergency room for DS before you know it. DD thinks first, then moves. DS moves, then thinks. He has no fear, it's very scary. The other day I was showing DD herself in a toy mirror and out of the corner of my eye I see DS sailing through the air  He had managed to climb up on his carseat and then tip it over, lauching himself into flight. He just looked stunned, but my heart was racing. <_< What goofs.

I know exactly how you feel. We're doing that here too! I think we've rearranged our livingroom 3 times in the last 4 months [since they were mobile] to make it 'baby friendly'. I'm sure they will show us something else we need to move within the next week or so ^_^
