Just Wanted to Say Hi!

I found out a week ago that we are expecting Twins! We are still in shock but really excited! I've been lurking for the last few days and finally decided to join.

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi! I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome! We found out we were having twins at 6 weeks, too.

CONGRATS!!!!! i know it's none of my business but were these natural total flukes or had you been on treatment? i only ask because the percentage of spontaneous twins seems a little smaller than "expected" twins.

my husband found out at 8 weeks we were having identical twins and just recently, at 18 weeks, found out that they are identical baby boys! double anomally i guess - girl twins are more common? ah who knows.

anyhoo, double congrats on your double expectancy. be ready for a whirlwind of bodily, emotional and hormonal changes. although i see you already have one child so think of that pregnancy experience and double it with everything that happened with your first happening faster and harder with this one.

oh and (i'm sure this has been mentioned) STAY OFF THE INTERNET for information about your twins. it will only scare the crap out of you.

btw - do you know if they are di/di (fraternal) or mono/di - mono/mono identicals yet?

 

Thanks again for the warm welcomes! Sorry I was MIA this week was a rough one for me! I was so tired plus I just felt icky. Luckily I have been able to nap a lot!

We concieved via FET and knew there was a good chance of twins since we had two embryos transfered, but I was in serious denial that we would actually have twins! Surprise!! I am guessing that they are fraternal- although no one has mentioned anything.

My 40 due date is Nov 14th- but I am really hoping to make it to Mid to late October. DD was 6 weeks early- due to PIH. We'll see!!
