The constant refrain in this house is "I'm hungry", and if they even pass by the kitchen and catch a glimpse of food, they want it. What is up?

Don't know but right there with you. My kids are in preschool but as soon as I pick them up it is "Mommy, I ready to eat dinner".

I'm so glad it's not just my house! I'm constantly saying that I hope nobody hears them...they'd swear we never feed them! They'll eat breakfast and 15 minutes later start whining that they're hungry! I don't know what the deal is.

Mine seem to be hungry a lot too -- though they still don't eat much at meals. Frustrating. Sarah has gone to bed whining "I'm hungry" more than once, though I also suspect that of being a delaying tactic. One night we caved and brought her some dried mango (because she had hardly eaten any dinner), and now I think she keeps hoping it will work again. But I also think she really is hungry -- she just needs to learn to eat dinner!

I hope this happens to us b/c right now I'm not sure how the girls are gaining weight b/c they eat like birds.

Mine are never "hungry" but always want a snack!

They aren't really big eaters! So, I don't know what that's like!

They still don't eat much at dinner, for as "hungry" as they claim to be, but I guess that's because they still don't like much traditional dinner foods. I think I need to keep all the snack foods in a safe. They are out on a shelf in the kitchen, and today they got into the graham crackers when I wasn't looking. Then if I eat my lunch or breakfast separate from theirs, they are all over my food like they are starving!

Our snacks are up high. Meghan would eat wheat thins, marshmallows and cupcakes all day if I let her. My two have their "hungry" days and their not so hungry days. I have given Nolan up to 10 mini pancakes in one sitting!

Kelly, I suggest you keep the fruit on the shelf and everything else under lock and key!
