I had quite a weekend. There are times, not often, that I will lose the feeling in my leg. I usually fall and don't usually hurt myself, just get more embarrassed then anything.
This weekend it happened again, except this time I did it outside and sprained my ankle (I thought I broke it the way it was hurting and swelling). DH and I went to the ER and I came home with an air cast and a cane. Luckily my SIL stayed over Sat. night to help out but now I will be hobbling around taking care of babies solo night and day. And the babies slept for 10 hours last night but they do not nap during the day, no matter how hard I try to get them to, so I know I will be in for it today! Yikes!

Good grief. So sorry to hear about your ankle. How long until it "heals?"

Wishing you the best of luck flying "solo," injury and all.

:hug99: You poor thing. Sprains are the worst! I'd almost rather have a broken bone. Good luck today on your own!

Why do you lose the feeling in your legs? I'm sorry this happened to you. Have you asked your doctor why this happens so often to the point that it makes you fall down and injure yourself. I am sorry if I am being to personal but I was just curious and concerned. Hope you feel better quickly!!!

I am so sorry! I assume that the loss of feeling in your leg is related to the birth??? I have a similar thing with my back/arms... Are you seeing anyone for this? You should really talk to your doctor if not and get set up with either PT or OMT or both... Good luck! I hope this gets better for you soon!

From the paperwork I received in the ER, it should heal within 3-6 weeks (hoping for 3 weeks!). They did take an X-ray of the back as well to check on the leg numbness and they think I may have a pinched nerve. I have a follow up with an orthopedic doctor next Monday (they wanted to see me on Wednesday but DH has to work OT that day and I have no one to watch the babies, plus I have school)---so hopefully that should take care of it.

I just want to thank everyone for their good wishes!!!!

    Oh I'm sorry, that hurts.

When I was a two months preggo, I sprained my ankle so bad I had to have a cast and crutches. Now I'm so scared it'll happen again that I probably look so stupid walking because I am more cautious where I'm stepping.

    Hope you get better soon
