My boys are 7 months old and everyday gets better! You guys are about to begin one of the greatest journeys of your life! When I was pregnant with my boys, I was terrified about what was to come. So many people told me horror stories of twins and scared me that I was not looking forward to it - unsure of what was to come. Ever since the day the boys have been born, I can honestly say that these have been the best months of my life! The joys that they will bring you is unimaginable! You might have some hard days ahead of you, but my husband and I always tried to stay with a thankful mindset! When we had to wake up at 2 in the morning, we would look at each other and say "I am so thankful that we get to wake up in the middle of the night to feed babies, because that means WE HAVE BABIES TO FEED!" A Friend of mine lost their son the day before his due date. The boys were born on their sons "would be" 3rd birthday. The day I delivered the boys, her husband wrote on their blog about the event and he added that "My daughter throwing up on me is a great gift, not something to grumble about." That phrase has stuck with me! In moments of stress, how thankful I am that I have these babies! (You can read the post Here) How I love my boys and thank the Lord every day that he gave us TWO! Thank you! What a wonderful post and such a blessing that you shared. Your right, all the "scary" stories have gotten to me but to read your take on what is to come was awsome. I hear more of the bad stuff but I think this is the first time I have really heard such great praise.
I'll just echo this. There are certainly rough patches here and there, but it gets more fun everyday. It's amazing!
Thanks for posting this; it's definitely a great perspective to have. I'll catch myself thinking, "ugh, two boys ... all that running around the house, knocking things over, etc." But then I'll catch myself and think, "But actually that's a blessing, because it would mean they're healthy enough to run!" Things like that. I try not to take anything for granted.
Thank you for posting this - to be honest, I have been truly scared to death about this whole experience. Granted I have been through a lot in my almost 22 weeks but I am just so afraid of everything. I have a 5 year old that has been my life and this pregnancy was unplanned as we actually were fine with just 1. So now I am just overwhelmed at the thought of going from 1 child to 3.....
oh my goodness how true!!!!!!!!! I just cannot even put into words how incredible this journey has been! the only problem I have is that is goes by way to quick!! it seems like just yesterday that test was positive -now my two are 22 months old!!! Having twins is the most amazing thing!! I still don't know what I did to be so lucky!!

I couldn't agree more, my twins were "surprises". We got pregnant when my DS was only 9mths old, I was still breastfeeding and was so not ready for another one. At 9wks we found out it was twins and I almost cried, I would have 3 kids under 19mths when they were born. My girls are so amazing, they are the best babies in the world and I couldn't be happier to have them. They are 6.5mths old and it is def hard to have 3 kids so young but I wouldn't change anything. I don't know what I would have done if they weren't such good babies but I think God had bigger plans that I did. Having twins is an amazing experience and it goes by so fast, I feel like they were just itty bitty babies. Enjoy every little minute and don't get all wrapped up with the whole schedule thing, it will happen.

I agree, it´s been a hell of a ride, it still is at times, but it´s all so worth it. One tip: accept all the help you can get! GL girls!
Great post! I totally agree - these 2 little boys who joined our family in January 2008 have added so much love, joy, and blessings to our life. Each day I am amazed by the miracle that they are - and so thrilled that they are ours! There are hard days - but never so hard that I don't realize just how blessed we are! Good luck mommies-to-be - everything will be just fine!
What a wonderful post spiveyplustwins!!! :clapping: I agree completely. As a first time parent with little to no experience with newborn babies I was petrified at the thought of TWO babies!!! There have been ups & downs but one thing I know for sure is that my life is SO much better now than I ever would have imagined. All of you expecting mommys are doing GREAT ~ stay positive & enjoy the ride - because it goes by WAY too fast.
thank you for sharing. i know i will be appriciating my life my kids life more, and give those extra hugs and kiss's all day. because you never know what is going to happen, i was nervous of having 4 kids under four yrs old before i read this post, know i know it will be fine, because we are togeather thank you
Thank you for posting this thread. Indeed, even before my little ones popped, I am appreciating the kicks and rolls I get everyday (or every minute) cos that's a sign they give me saying that they're ok inside. I'm sure there'd be rough patches that'll follow their arrival, but we'll all be grateful for having them in our arms everyday!
